This camp has been such a wonderful experience.the staff are so kind and knowledgeable, this is an excellent way to let your kids fall in love with music and a play a variety of instruments. Miss Jackie is absolutely stellar and her enthusiasm about music is contagious!

I had the pleasure of watching the practices and was impressed on how much was covered and how well the instructor and her assistant explained and worked with the kids. What a great introduction that helps kids better select the instrument they’d like to play.

Customers beware of identity and financial disclosure. Let me first recognize the music educators who provide lessons, kudos to you for the artful experiences you provide to our youth. Thank you. I would, however encourage you to provide your services independently. I fundamentally disagree with their business practices to take your banking account information, copies of your drivers licenses, etc. They are not a bank, governed by federal regulation. They are covering themselves by every means necessary and passing all transactional risk on to you. This is not the purchase of a five figure vehical or a six figure home loan. They are offsetting minimal credit card fees by ensuring they have all information required to directly withdraw payments or utilize your financial identity. Pass the credit card fees to your customers do not make them provide you access to your identity and bank accounts. They offer no security related protocol for how they manage such information to ensure it's security from internal staff or outside threats. The personal risk to you is not worth the convience to willfully provide this information. I would encourage those of you that have done it to voice your objection to their business practices, and those of you considering this REW as an option for your band/orchestra lessons/equipment, to avoid it. They do not provide you with options which protect you, their customer. The only way to change their behavior is to deny access to the steady stream of business they see. Please encourage a change in this behavior so we can continue to support music education the right way. My only concern there is of protecting themselves from their customers they will pass credit card fees on to their educators (which through other reviews there is poor treatment as well) Why don't they do business like every other service industry provider? I don't know, you'll have to ask them.

Recently, I had different music shop nearby restore a flute for our daughter ($300+ for new pads, corks, clean, polish). A few keys started leaking this week, less than 3 months after the restoration. When they were unwilling to repair it without a fee, had no tech available within the next 2-3 weeks to even look at it, needed to send it off, and wanted me to pay for a rental while I waited to get it back, I decided I would visit R.E.W.R.E.W was more than AMAZING! They made a few minor repairs while I was there, tested it, and was even apologetic that I had such a bad experience at the previous shop (who is a competitor them).Brandon, their repair tech, and Lynne, who I spoke to before going, were both so kind and caring. I HIGHLY recommend them and won't be going anywhere else from here on. They are family owned and obviously know what it means to provide great service in a world where many seem to have forgotten how to just be kind.

As we left Rew Music the other night, my daughter asked me why we were there instead of at the Competitor that teams with my daughter's school. I was thrilled (as it was a great Business Case Study) to point out to her the differences. Rew Music does business the right way. They take all the time necessary with their clients with no sense of rush or pushiness and provide the best buying experience. She came in to decide if a step up in instrument was worth it, and if so, which instrument. Gabe brought in five Clarinets (3 were used from other locations) and had them all laid out before we arrived for her to try. He went out of his way to not tell prices, so that we wouldn't be influenced to believe one was better because it cost more. He told her what to look for as she tried the instruments... because she didn't know how to decide if one was better for her or not. He patiently waited while she spent over an hour switching back and forth between the Clarinets and deciding if there was a difference and if it was a worth-while upgrade. At the end of the evening, we didn't buy... she needed to sleep on it. Which he was fine with. The next day she knew which one she wanted and I went to pick it up. The entire experience was awesome in too many ways to articulate in an online review. Visit Rew Music and experience it for yourself. If you have a sales job or a customer service job... learn from what you experience at the best music store in Kansas City. This was only one of our great experiences at Rew... and every representative has been top notch.

Currently, I teach privately at REW Music and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time there so far! I started during Covid-19 and have received nothing but support and encouragement from the staff, owners, and students/parents. REW is constantly looking for creative solutions to problems. I have been impressed with the different ways they keep learning and teaching fresh and interesting. You can truly tell how much everyone cares about the emotional, educational, and mental wellbeing of their customers and staff.
