The fact they let me walk out of there looking like I did is absolutely wild. Literally gave a man a jump scare in the parking lot. Not an ounce of conditioner or leave in product for curls then brushed & blow dried them out, sealing it with hair spray. Insane. I asked for minimal natural looking highlights, lived in & easy to manage bc I'm a busy mom, left with tiger stripes all over my head. I'm standing in a target rn trying to figure out the best way to salvage the situation. The fact the owner & other stylists were SCRAMBLING as I was checking out trying to get everyone to say how good it looked- sigh. It took everything in me not to let yall see me cry my eyes out. I would not trust yall to touch my hair again or anyone with curls for that matter. An absolute waste of 200.

Makayla is the best!! She always accommodates my schedule and is overall amazing!! Makayla does a great job working with my hair - which is pretty hard to find in this area for folks who have thicker Indian hair. She stops along the way to verify with clients if something is too short and check if length is appropriate throughout the session which has been a dream come true!! I started taking my mom to her now because of this as well; since she has a bit more anxiety around stylists, and Makayla made her feel so comfortable and at ease!!! Thank you Makayla for all you do!!!

Makayla, my stylist, was excellent. I showed her photos of times I've liked how my hair looked, and she listened to my preferences when having my hair done, and I think the result was great. She's a good listener, very personable, friendly, and skilled in her craft. This is a small salon, tucked back in an open shopping center on the northeast corner of College, and Pflumm, I think it's very easy to overlook some of the shops and restaurants because they're not very visible from any direction. The salon would really benefit from an update and sprucing up, which is why it didn't get five stars. Most surprising to me was that the stylists' chairs are old, outdated, set far back from the mirrors. and the faux leather seats on all were split down the middle. I'd give Makayla 5 stars, but appearance of the salon itself 3 stars. The price for my shampoo, cut, and style was $50, and as a first-time customer, that was discounted by $10, which I really appreciated!

Salon Burget is a hidden GEM!The salon: Do not let the exterior of being in a strip mall fool you. The interior is stylish, inviting and cozy. The stations are clean and spacious enough to feel like you're not imposing on anybody else who is getting their hair done.The service: I get full or partial highlights + a cut about every 6 weeks and if you don't have the right stylist it can be pretty hard on your hair. This was the case before I found Makayla! I've been to her 3x now and she's a wonderful stylist. She brought my hair back to life and the appointments have all been very relaxing and enjoyable. She is incredibly sweet, thoughtful and funny. There's about a 15 year age difference between us and we get along just like old friends. She is also a great listener and always wants to make sure she had my cut and color exactly as I wanted it.10/10 - I'm so happy I found a stylist who can tame my unruly hair and make sure I have a nice time while doing so. Had my hair done by Holly. She was great. Took her time and did my entire head. I have a lot of hair. My color was consistent and she fixed the previous hairdresser’s mistakes. Very fairly priced all things considered. Have me a really good cut. Will go back.
