I have an old school mini with a hard to find control board (multi-layer PCB) that I suspected had issues. A new board or getting repairs would have cost me 4 figures.I contacted repair shack and they said they would certainly do their best to help. They were able to identify and validate my concerns, and not only repair the board, but replace several board components to ensure the longevity of my car for years to come!!!They contacted me several times throughout the process to ensure I knew exactly what was going on and if I was okay with what they wanted to do. Awesome team! Love these guys and they have certainly earned my business for years to come!!!!Photos below of board and difficulty of repairs/rework needed to replace faulty components.

4-hour afternoon appointment window (12:30-4:30pm) was missed without a call or text. When I finally decided to call at the end of the window to ask if I could still expect arrival within the next 10 minutes, was told they were behind and would potentially arrive an hour later (5:30 pm). I asked for the first appointment the next day and they said they couldn’t reschedule until the following week. “We’re slammed since it’s Christmas season, I’m sure you can understand.” No apology, only heard excuses. I stress that last sentence and then refer you to see their customer service statement on their website. Missing an appointment without communication, without apology, and without regard to someone’s personal schedule (only their own) is unacceptable.Update - the appointment cancellation email I received showed an updated appointment window! It was moved to 2:00-6:00. Convenient for them to do after the fact. There was no update to that window prior to the cancellation. Seems like someone is trying to do a little CYA.

I sent my board in and waited a total of 18 business days and nearly 30 calendar days since they confirmed receipt of my part. I was told it is being worked on for a week straight and to call back the next day. I had to be the one to call day after day. Only to be told after all this delay that they were unable to repair this board and keeping 3/4 of the repair fee. This is the worst service I have received to date.

Repair Shack was dispatched by home warranty to fix my dishwasher that failed to drain. They didn't show up as scheduled and lied to the warranty saying I wasn't home but I answered their call and said I was. Took a while to reschedule that appointment went fine when the repair tech arrived and he ordered parts.A week or so later another person arrived and repaired the dishwasher, and he arrived early IIRC *yay*; however, it now flops out of the cabinets when opened. It doesn't fall over because the back catches on the countertop. When I tested it before he left and mentioned that it flopped out of the cabinet when opened he said that is because some brackets were removed or missing, I assume by the prior tech, and that I need to go buy new ones at Home Depot or Lowe's and install them myself. That he didn't have any because it wasn't on the order. Not the 2nd person's fault that he didn't know he needed those parts--but c'mon. Seems like a thing that should just be 'in the truck,; or come back and put them in since they obviously used to be there and were removed (not by me, I have the home warranty so I DON'T have to pull out dishwashers and repair them myself). So, fixing the flopping dishwasher is my problem I guess...¯\_(ツ)_/¯Giving two stars because the techs were nice folks and ultimately the dishwasher was repaired (except the bracket issue of course).Marked down because of the lies about the missed appointment (I took the day off for a no-show), and that they removed or lost the brackets and said it's my problem...

Sent some Dacor parts to them for repair. The stove still not working but the parts I send were refurbed and checked. So I probably have other issues with the Stove, has F1 error. So even though I was not successful with getting my stove working. I will say this, I hope they are compensating their tech "Dillion" well (very well). Great follow up and answered questions I had, called me back three times. Top notch service, the guy makes the company look very good.

I have a 22 year old double oven that was randomly heating up to 500F and locking the door. The control board can no longer be purchased and my only option was to have it repaired. Decided on The Repair Shack and followed their incredible instructions for mailing in the control board. I even texted them to determine if I needed to send in the panel as well and had a response asking for the symptoms and then telling me that it would be unlikely that the control panel would be needed.I was informed when the panel was received. About 10 days later I had a call from the technician informing me what he had done and that he had performed the repair and was shipping it back that afternoon. The oven has been working flawlessly for the last 3 weeks. Really impressed with the service.

My GE Profile refrigerator icemaker has not worked for about 8-10 years. The icemaker flap would not open. I had two repairmen come in to check it out and was told by the 2nd repairman the control board the problem and GE no longer made or supplied this part. I found The Repair Shack on-line, liked what I read and sent the board in to them to see if it could be repaired. When I called on the status I was told some components had to be ordered and would keep me informed, which they did. Everything checked out but they could not test it since it needed to be connected to the refrigerator icemaker.I received the control board today, connected everything and IT WORKS!!!! A huge THANK YOU to The Repair Shack. They are friendly, very reasonable, knowledgeable and competent.

Sent in my oven control board panel and got it back in the timeframe they said. Pleasant customer service and technician left a very detailed description of what was wrong with it and what he did to remedy the problems. They sent it back by FedEx next day and I put it back together and it works great! Like getting a new oven for $150 instead of $2500 (double oven)!Would highly recommend their services, which were cheaper than the other companies rates for same repairs. Even has 2 year warranty. Thanks!

The Repair Shack is the best company I have ever dealt with. The communication with the them is perfect. The repair was completed in short order and everything is working correctly. I especially liked the fact that I was able to them and speak to a REAL person and get answers to my questions. You can't go wrong with THE REPAIR SHACK.

We've had the repair shack out twice to our house. The first time they fixed our smooth top /glass cook top. They came out, diagnosed the issue and had it fixed the next week (had to order the part). The second time they came out to fix our freezer (needed a new gasket). The repairman ordered multiple parts just in case (only charged us for the one we needed) and we were back in husiness in no time. I love the scheduling, text message notifications. Add in consistently on time arrivals, and a smiling face and this is our new go to for appliance repair. Pricing is a tough high, but it's worth a few extra bucks for on time arrivals and wonderful customer service.

TLDR- They knew they could not fix my issue but told me they could just to get my money.I called them to discuss my issue and all the trouble shooting and parts I had replaced so far. The issue was that I was getting an error code when my oven was hot. They told me that they could fix it if I send in the control board. I confirmed they would not need the keypad or anything else. I paid them the requested $110 and sent it off using the more expensive shipping method they asked for ($42).I got my control board back and same issue. They told me I had to buy a new ribbon cable ($48) to fix it. So I once again listened and still the same issue. Then the technician told me that my issue is with a membrane in the keypad (the one I was told not to send) and it is not repairable. I asked a few more questions and he informed me that he knew that all along since my issue was only when the oven was hot and there is nothing that could be done to repair it.So to make up for taking my money when they knew they could not help me, I was refunded $14.99 out of the $109.98 I sent them.I am sure they can fix some things, but not as much as they tell you they can. They are slow to reply if you have questions, and will deceive you.2 stars since the people were polite.

I had a control board go bad in a refrigerator. This part is obsolete. I contacted the Repair Shack and the phone was answered by a human. We went over model number and problems I was having. I then went to their website and purchased the repair service for the board. The next morning I got a call to make sure I didn’t have any questions about the repair process or shipping. The communication was great. A week later, when the board had been repaired, the tech called me to tell me what he had done and that the board was functioning as it should. I had a great experience. They saved me a lot of money. My refrigerator is back to normal.

The technicians were very nice. Took my dishwasher to repair, and then control board from my stove. They didn't install either upon return. Also they expected me to leave water off 1-1.5 weeks while repairing the dishwasher. I ended up with water damage to floor had to file a claim with my homeowner's insurance as a result. I ended up getting shocked by the wire, went unconscious, ambulance came and I went to ER. Doctor said I'm lucky I didn't die. A hard " no" unless you want die or have damage to your home.* Update, the control board doesn't work, part of the microwave fell off where they took it apart. My oven nor dishwasher work. This company will say anything to negate my review, furthermore why would I say racially derogatory remarks to a black person & I'm black myself, speak the factsI told the rep on the phone that they were " d**** because they were acting like they were unaware of their job responsibilities and couldn't resolve my issue. Another company came and fixed my stove that they were to fix and they had taken it with them after they left- the other company got the stove part and realized that Repair Clinic had not fixed anything and had removed all the screws from the top of the stove. They didn't fix anything so they had to fix the stove. I'm not writing several paragraphs here for my health I'm writing it to save people from slouchy work by this company. Save your money these people are embeciles.

This place is refreshingly honest, attentive, and conscientious about repairing your older appliances. They are forthright about expectations (not all items can be repaired!). They are gently whimsical in their prose and content on their web site. They kept me informed (PERSONALLY!!!) every step of the way (shipping, assessment, repair, return). I cannot recommend them highly enough.
