First off, if you see the 3.7 star review (as of 3/23/23) and think that you'll keep looking, keep in mind that the rating was brought down by a concentrated effort by several members of ONE family. So I'll tell you my own experience. My younger daughter will leaving in August when she is 4, and she's been in care of the staff at the Whole Child since she had just turned 2yo. The staff has witnessed her grow into her full confident self, including quitting her pacifier and getting potty trained. She looks forward to seeing her friends every single day, and she is sad when she is sick and can't go. She is comfortable in her routines and has had a great relationship with all of her teachers. I've never met a staff member that didn't care about my child. I've seen several staff members come and go, but management has only ever improved and ran smoother with those changes. I have seen firsthand how Sherrie (runs all day-to-day operations) and Lizz (runs the front/office duties) not only speak to each child like they are the real little humans that they are, but also keep the whole operation consistent. I get notifications throughout the day on the app they use, not just potty breaks and meals but also photos and notes on what they're learning. When my child has a crisis, they're quick to notify me. I can really think of one single time that I wasn't notified, which is pretty good, considering they are human beings! They *rarely* close for weather or unexpected problems, and that's been an incredible weight off of my mind as a single working parent. They even have occasional events to bring the families together, like breakfast with parents or summer parties. And as an FYI, they do accept Kansas DCF payments. I've never considered pulling my child, and I even send my other child over the summer for "summer camp" so that they can be together.

Best daycare ever, I used to go there from since I was 2-12 I loved the food and it would be so good and healthy with the right amount of portions, props to the cook that makes that.

My children have been going to The Whole Child Development Center for almost a year now. I have absolutely loved this center for my kids. The staff are supportive, friendly, and my children enjoy their new friends! I was upfront about my child's special needs, and all the teachers and staff have been very helpful in collaborating with me to make sure my kids went to an inclusive environment. I get daily updates, and they are quick to answer any messages or concerns I may have.

My daughter went there for a year. At the beginning, things were great. We really loved Ms.Karen and Ms.Kelsey. New management came in and that's when things started to slip. My daughter (1yr old at the time) used to be so excited to go there. Something must have happened internally because all of the good teachers who actually cared about the children left. It is now run by high schoolers and staff that doesn't care. My daughter stopped wanting to go. Every time I picked her up she had snot, food, or dirt crusted on her face and a wet diaper. Would not recommend.

Don't ever pick a daycare for convenience! My daughter who is medicated ADHD was putting her feet up on a chair today and Ms Patty took it upon herself to tell her that she would not be participating in any of the field trips that I paid for. When I called Ms Patty into the office to have a discussion about this she was pointing her finger at me and had the worst attitude out of anybody that I have ever seen in child care. He suggested that we check the cameras only to find out that the cameras don't even have audio. My daughter has expressed on numerous occasions that she does not like the daycare and the women there are not kind. Always drive that extra 10 minutes for your child to go to a good school!Edit: 6/21 after being told I was going to be shown video where this "never happened" I never received anything from the owner, or my refund for Feild trips. Most importantly, my daughter has been bullied on TikTok because the teachers here are so trashy that they were unable to leave the children out of it..why would a child know about business that happened in the office. So sad. Ms Patty does not need to be working around children.

I am a Grandmother to a formestudent. My Daughter had issues and pulled my Granddaughters out. Miss P told one of her students what went down and now KH is being bullied. Way to handle things KK. Great role models. 6/22/22 Update: why didn't you post what you originally said to me about how you're going to look into it and get to the bottom of it? How you seen our point of view? Reading the reaction to this post seems like you're done. Because I work in an elementary school I'm off on summers. Kennedy is safe with me now. I hope you've learned from this and handle situations differently. Best of luck.

My niece attended this daycare. And I can tell you now they belittle the children that are in their care to the point that they have children in the classrooms the same classroom my niece WAS IN bullying my niece on social media. Absolutely unacceptable. Our children are supposed to be safe at school/daycare‘s Parents if I can give you any advice take your time looking for a daycare and drive the extra mile if needed BUT DONT COME HERE. EDIT*** NOTHING WAS WRITTEN ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA FOR ANYONE TO SEE BUT THESE REVIEWS. STOP MAKING EXCUSES. HOW DOES An 11 year old knows what happened in an office full of grown ups? EXCUSE AFTER EXCUSE. A child is being bullied and you made the little girl delete the comment after YOU WENT AND SPOKE TO THE CHILD ABOUT THE COMMENT. FISHY BUSINESS HERE

Love love love this daycare. My children have only been to 1 daycare and I plan to keep it that way. My daughter has been attending since she was 2 years and she’s now 5 there is a handful of things that they have taught her to prepare her for Kindergarten. They have also been helpful during the COVID pandemic by remaining open and assisting with virtual learning, the center also offer pick up services for elementary students who transitioned to in person learning. I honestly love everything about this daycare.

I love the new owner Ms Karen is awesome and the staff is amazing. They are making a ton of upgrades. Starting with the floor. Taking out that old nasty floor and replacing with a updated laminate wood. It used to smell like urine when you walk in the door. That smell is now gone. They are smiles all around. Now we are approaching summer and my dainty tee will be there all day. They have field trips planned almost everyday. We Love the whole child

Mrs. Karen has been very attentive to our childs needs. My kids always had me at home, so starting daycare was quite a transition for our whole family. When a concern is voiced, she is quick to find a solution. Ex. My 5 year old had a hard time during recess, mrs Karen set her up with a buddy system so she could have someone to play with. Again, 5 year old struggled with nap time, they arranged a quiet area for my daughter to do a puzzle before she took a nap. As a mom, to see her take my concern and make it a priority for my kids to have a great experience, means more than words can express. Also, the place has under gone a complete make over under her ownership. Everything is clean and organized.

Karen Kwok took over ownership of the daycare in March of 2019. Since then she has made wonderful changes and improvements to the center! She has a passion for children and an extensive background in education and child care. I highly recommend The Whole Child Development Center!

Any parent that sends their child to this facility is an unfit parent. My child was sick every week he attended this facility, I moved him to a clean, reputable daycare and he has not been sick once. I killed a roach crawling across the floor in broad daylight, and when I told the owner she got an attitude. This place is a dump from the office to the classrooms, just nasty. Please do your child(ren) a favor and find a cleaner, better ran facility, as your child deserves it.
