This place is the absolute worst. DO NOT USE THEM! We've been well paying customers for over 10 years and then one Wednesday afternoon our phones stopped working. We called and called. Finally got a call back and they said we had been disconnected because they "no longer service your area." When we inquired about why we had not been informed, they said that we should have received a mailer. 1 mailer....WE DID NOT RECEIVE a mailer. There was nothing on our invoices. When we called for technical support for poor phone line quality 3 times that month, no one mentioned it!!!! AWFUL!!! Then when I asked if our main phone number we've had for over 50 years would be saved, they told me that they would release the number and they recommend we switch carriers as soon as possible....HOW THE HECK am I supposed to switch carriers in the middle of a holiday week at the drop of the hat. My phones were down at my small business for over a week. WE WILL NEVER RECOVER from all those lost calls. Absolutely the worst service I have ever had.

Terrible Service. But if you change service, you have to wait another month to get taken off their system and continue paying for said service. Constantly had call issues. Technical support was not helpful. Nothing was ever resolved. Switched providers out of desperation

I am unable to give this company a one star rating, but have to in order to post. Windstream's customer service is horrible and obviously just a call center overseas. Our building has been without phone service for four days and Windstream finally sent a technician on the third day and he could not figure out why our phones would not work. Windstream is supposedly going to call AT&T to find out what is going on at AT&T's end. Windstream is the worse carrier and has to overcharge clients due to their reorganization.

Windstream is the worst! Do --NOT-- use them! I had 110 calls (over the space of 30 minutes) on our bill to Caribbean. Made at 5am... (we open at 830am, close 5pm). Windstream said we made them, so we owe them. Bill was $10,000, yes 10K. I said their system got hacked. We have a very old (1990's) phone system, and it cant be hacked. Our phone system does not connect to the internet. But the Windstream interface box they furnished us in 2005, DOES connect to internet. They got hacked, and they are trying to collect from us. TOTALLY BOGUS!! Customer service no help at all. Do --NOT-- even consider Windstream

For starters, I have used Windstream for 14+ years on a T-1 line. Recently I switched to VOIP and have unsuccessfully been able to cancel. Told I can't via email and when you do it over the phone, they say it takes 30 days. No wonder they are in bankruptcy. You should be able to turn off your service as quickly as they turn it on for you. Also, needless to say, I saved big money going to VOIP.

DO NOT GET WINDSTREAM SERVICE! I have never been compelled to write a negative review. However, I have spent more time, money, energy, and aggravation hitting my head against the brick wall of their "customer service" than on all other services I've ever used in my entire life... combined. They're expensive, so bureaucratic that NOTHING gets done and NOBODY is accountable to ANYTHING, they take FOR.EV.ER to get anything accomplished, and when anything finally does get done, it's subpar. I am so beyond disappointed with Windstream. Save yourself and HARD PASS on them for services.
