Beautiful museum - small but packed with really lovely works of art by Swedish born American Landscape artist, Birger Sandzén. The museum is located in the cute town of Lindsborg, Kansas, and was settled by Swedish immigrants. It is on the way from Texas to Colorado. This gem of a museum is worth a stop if you love post impressionist style paintings and woodcuts and linocuts! Also, very friend staff!

I was impressed by both the works of the artist the gallery is named for and the other collections on display. It is a cozy, accessible gallery/museum, and the butterflies on the garden out front were icing on the cake.

Great little gallery. No entrance fee but donations are welcome. Main gallery has works of Burger Sandzen and several rotating galleries in the back. One of the current ones was local artists which was neat to see. Almost all of the Sandzen works were his paintings. I was hoping to see more of his print work, maybe they rotate those in at times?

Outstanding gallery with a truly enjoyable atmosphere and welcoming staff. All facilities were family friendly.The art itself was a pleasure to experience, great balance of sculpture and other media.

The Birger Sandzen paintings are amazing. He is an underrated artist! They are skillfully displayed so you see his development to his mature work. There were also several other nicely curated exhibits.

Visited for the small works exhibition. But of course the focus will always be on Birger’s Stu. Big work. A room full of large, colorful works by the master is something to see.
