Hours: The faith community of Manhattan met over 20 years ago creating Shepherd's Crossing: one place, jointly funded, helping families avoid financial crisis. Today Shepherd's Crossing is supported by churches, civic organizations, businesses, and many supportive residents. We provide assistance primarily with rent, utilities and prescription medications to residents who have been here at least 6 months. Along with financial assistance, we provide basic budget counseling to help families stretch their income and help residents connect to other organizations they can benefit from. If a client doesn't qualify for assistance from us, we connect them to the appropriate resources. We recommend scheduling an appointment if you need help.
