Not very happy with Manhattan postal service aka Shannon and postmaster! Issues with mail not being delivered twice in two different instances with promises broken and word not being held by them both this month delaying family circumstances. Hopefully something gets done about it!

I haven’t received any USPS mail in weeks due to the construction on Walters Dr., but both UPS and FedEx have continued to deliver without issue. Why am I not surprised

Construction on Walters Dr for three months. Mail placed on hold for pickup. Supervisor Shannon rude in tone did not hold mail instead made up a delivery date for the area held in a tote to be delivered on a Sat despite mail placed on hold on 7/17/25. I go to retrieve held mail and Shannon proceeds to tell me it is not the responsibility of the postal service to provide notice to residents where mail would be rerouted to or delived to. Of all the managers responsible for conducting services no one had sense enough to have a meeting and plan out how to resolve the issue with construction prior to the three months of not being able to have the road available. The purpose to hold mail also is so it would not be stolen. I asked to file a complaint and Ms. Shannons reply was the inquiry would just return back to her who is the manager. Good news I called the regional office made a complaint listing her and would advice the same if you have a issue. Maybe her superior can reeducate her about policies and procedures established by the company not her own that she makes up.
Update: Saturday arrives..mail marked delivered to mailbox..mailbox is empty. What will be Shannon the managers reason this time?
Update 7/23/25 Local post master emails consumer affairs to tell them they are sorry instead of reaching out to me. They came out to verify construction instead of the photos and letters I brought in prior from the construction company. Emailing a third party instead of actually talking to the person that made the complaint makes it look condescending and as if the issue is attempting to be swept under the rug. Be accountable.

help desk and customer service is poor. They don’t really listen to your problem because they don’t have a solution. They basically just redirect back to the problem that you were having…

I honestly wish I could leave 0 stars. This is by far the absolute worst USPS service I have ever experienced. The delivery driver always marks the packages as delivered when it really isn’t. Or they deliver to wrong the address. What’s the even more frustrating part is no one who works there wants to correct or fix it, to help you recover your package they lost, When it’s THEIR mistake. Short staff or heavy loads I get, everyone is, but that is ABSOLUTELY no excuse for being negligent and not doing your job correctly. This is an absolutely horrible, horrible location, and something really needs to be done about this.

Just so you know they are heavily used as a return delivery service. They shut the doors on time. There are no boxes for parcels of any size. So go to Hy-Vee which can generate a receipt for your parcel being accepted. Letters and flats are the only thing that can be sent after hours.

They lost my social security card AND lost the replacement card. Now I have not been paid for my work for 3 months.

Shipping items? Great. Receiving items? Absolutely terrible

Good people trying their very best to meet high expectations while working for a governmental entity - working very long hours and short staffed. Drop by with a coffee, donuts, or scones and let them know they are appreciated.

I moved to the 1500 block of Hillcrest Drive 11 MONTHS AGO. I STILL GET MAIL FOR THE PREVIOUS TENANTS. I have politely wrote a message to the mailman numerous times telling him I am the only person living here and those persons don’t live here anymore. I have said this over and over and over. Sometimes the mail for the previous tenants is even just left in my mailbox for even several weeks and not even taken out!!!
I have also specifically asked that my Amazon packages be left on my front porch, but the idiot mailman just jams even big stuff into my mailbox.
On game days, often they don’t deliver the mail at all because the flag is still up when I had a letter in there. Can’t the lazy mailman get out of his darn vehicle???
Mailman should just be fired. Total clown. Embarrassingly bad service. Really Seinfeld Newman idiots!!!

Nice interior size. Offers supplies and private postal boxes.
Like most retail establishments, more help is needed to expedite customer's needs.
Very friendly staff despite the pressure of sometimes long lines.

I mislabeled my package and submitted a ticket. I received a call the next day about the inquiry, and they got my package.
I thank the team for helping me quickly and professionally. I’ve never had any issues with this post office!

The mail carrier keeps leaving my door to mailbox open.
And my mail flies out onto the ground. How hard is it to do a 2 second task
