I had my car serviced today and I must say the service team, especially Begi and Bryan were exceptional. Their attention to detail and professionalism made the experience smooth and hassle-free. I appreciate their expertise and promptness.

Stay away from this place, especially if you are a woman ! My wife went in to buy a used car that we had test driven, it could have been a 15-minute transaction and a guaranteed sale, but a couple classic used car salesmen pulled out every sleazy trick in the business, from the paper shuffle, the long delays, the addition of unwanted "extended warrantees" and "special coatings," to trying to get us to commit to a questionable subprime financing company. Not a moment of honesty or integrity. Horrible way to treat customers! Never, ever, setting foot near that place again and recommend you avoid it like the plague.

On February 22, 2023, I had my 2017 Kia Sportagerotors resurfaced. When I collected the vehicle on February 22, 2023; I was told that you carried out a "full service" and the issues I was experiencing; mainly the squeaky brakes and vibration when braking was rectified by resurfacing all 4 rotors. The bill for this work was quite substantial. Nine months after the service, I am still experiencing the same issues. My brakes squeak when applied, and my vehicle vibrates when braking. Since your department did not have any availability until the end of November 2023; I took my vehicle into another service department. They determined the front rotors are warped and recommended I contact the service shop who did the work in February 2023. I called the service department on November 11, 2023, to discuss this issue and was quickly dismissed and told rotors can go bad; they did not want to help make the situation satisfactory to me. * The vehicle only has 8,000 miles on it since the repair work was performed in February 2023. The milage in February was 78,645 and the milage as of today is 87,091; only 8,446 miles. * I had my vehicle for over 3 years before it needed brake or rotor work; and now NOT EVEN 10 MONTHS later; the issue is still occurring. * I do NOT drive in stop and go (heavy braking) traffic. As a matter of fact, I drive less than I did last year; so, this is not a culprit. * The technician at the other service department said for the rotors to be warped I would have to consistently drive at high speed (around 80 mph and slam on the brakes), this is hardly the way I drive as I cherish my life and my vehicle. I drive the maximum speed of 50 mph on my commute. * In all the research I have performed, resurfaced rotors should typically last for 30,000 to 70,000 miles; again, I only put on 8,446 miles since the rotors were resurfaced. * I paid almost $500 for the work and expected it to last longer than 9 months. I have brought my 2017 KIA Sportage to your service department consistently since I bought it in 2019. I could have chosen to go elsewhere, but I chose your shop for my vehicles' needs. I am very dissatisfied that my vehicle is not running as expected since I paid a significant amount of money for the repairs. Additionally, I am very displeased with the customer service I received when I called to discuss this issue.

Shawnee Mission Kia is a scam artist. They are fraudulent criminals. After charging me tons of money they do damage to your car rather than fix it. So on a valve cover gasket, they broke my valve cover after keeping it a week. They tried "fixing" it with caulk. The week my car was there they also removed components from my engine. Another dealer said that nothing wore out, just components removed. It has taken months to fix the damage they did.

My husband dropped off the car at 8 a.m. for a pre-scheduled 8:30 a.m. appointment with the service center. The service needed was just routine maintenance/oil change. He told the technician when he dropped it off, that there wasn't a big rush because he would just come back after work to get it at 4 p.m. At 4 p.m., he still had not heard anything and tried to call to check on the status, the phone rang and rang for 20 minutes before he finally gave up and just went to the dealership. Once there, he was told by the administrative staff that his car hadn't even been started yet. He asked them to please prioritize it (all while noticing that several employees were standing around doing other things while phones rang constantly - not a single phone answered). She told him she would let the service center know. At almost 5:30 p.m., our car was finally brought out, the technician said he didn't know that he was here and waiting on it otherwise he would have started sooner! In summary, the concerns are the following:1. What is the point in making an appointment, if the staff will take 9 hours to look at the car?2. The front desk staff doesn't answer phones at all and also doesn't communicate with the mechanic staff (even when they say that they will).Overall, it could have been worse, but it was still a very frustrating experience. We don't have impossibly high standards, but the customer service is pretty abysmal. Most of all, we also are concerned that our car was not checked thoroughly and could have issues in the future because the staff is clearly overworked and rushed.

The engine in my car was burning oil, shawnee mission kia was going to contact kia to replace the engine. I've been waiting for over a week to get a status update. Finally went out to SM Kia , since they don't answer their phone unless your buy a new. SM kia had no idea about when they would ok repair. I am without a car because SM Kia didn't have any available. While I'm writing this reveiw, I am on hold. AGAIN. I've spent a out 4hrs on hold in the last 10 days and I have not talk to any one yet. Of course the sales dept did reach out to me what a joke. Could not be more disappointed in a company.

***EDITED***Since posting the review below, my issue has more or less been resolved. A general sales manager named Chad, who was very professional and receptive, reached out to remedy my problem. I still wasn't given any explanation as to why Liz couldn't be bothered to communicate with me, however I do understand why it was taking longer to receive my military rebate. I also just got my rebate in the mail today. So, therefore, I am keeping my word and updating my review to reflect my experience, and changing my previous 1 star review to 3 stars. ***Original Review***Seriously, what an awful business. Or more specifically, what an awful sales manager. Just bought a brand new 2023 Kia Seltos SX April 6th, and somehow, they've already managed to top my list of horrible business transactions. When I purchased my new vehicle I had asked about their military discount. I was told that it is $300 off the purchase of the vehicle. I had my VA card on me, which is normally good enough in any other setting, however they said that they would need a copy of my DD214. Of course I didn't have it on me at the time, so I brought it in with me when I went to pick up my vehicle the next day. That's when I met their sales manager, Liz Rebollar. She assured me that she is the one that submits the paperwork for the military discount, and that I should be getting a check in the mail for the $300 rebate in 2 weeks or so. After a month of not getting that check in the mail, I called Liz to check the status of the payment. She acted like she was looking something up, and just said that it didn't look like it had been paid out yet (obviously, that's why I called) and that she would look into it and call me back. A week later, still hadn't heard from Liz, so left a message with someone that answered the phone, who said they would have her call me back. With still no response 3 days later, I called again, and left a voicemail in the morning. About 8 hours later called again, and got a receptionist who said that she was available and to hold just a moment. Then I heard him tell her that "it's for you", and then it just went to voicemail. After that, every time I called I couldn't get anyone on the phone, only a voicemail. Pretty sure they see my number on the caller ID and just decide that they're not going to answer the phone. As someone that has worked in customer service their entire life, it's quite stunning to see a manager this incompetent at her job. Seriously need to work on communication skills if you can't be bothered to pick up a phone for a week and a half. I wonder if anyone gets the military discount, or if they all just pocket it, and then ignore all of the veterans attempts to get their incentive. Seriously shady business practices, especially if you treat military this way. I'll only amend this review if I actually get my $300, and can speak to a competent manager.

This place is the Bomb. I first purchased my Kia from Lawrence, KS too far to travel for updates & maintenance work. Team went out of there way to make sure I was handled in the most professional manner. My Tech Name was Ms Francesca. She even gave me a loner until they were thru with my Kia. Excellent jobs well done. Thank you. Will return for more maintenance work. Keep doing what you are doing to satisfy your customers.
