I am not a gambler but I tagged along with some friends who wanted to go. It's a decent place if gambling is your thing. Pretty clean and lots of machines/tables to choose from. I enjoyed the TV's and bar at the back. I caught some sports while my friends gambled.

First time ever going to the casino (even though i helped build it) for a concert (Night Ranger) and it was a great experiance.. decent seating...and not a bad seat in the house

This review has nothing to do with the musical acts at the Kansas Star Casino Event Center and everything to do with the sound engineers to run the venue sound system.
Last night my wife and I enjoyed a great concert by Night Ranger. Saw them many times at various arenas throughtout the midwest. Never disappoints, always a great show but the sound mix was so bad that it made the band sound horrible. Everything appeared to be ran directly to mains mixed thru the board and the band members IEM's. I know from personal experience that IEM's are mixed according to the individuals taste so the sound emitted from the mains is left to the desire of the engineer who at this show possessed horrible ears or taste in sound.
I have been to several shows at the Kansas Star and the majority of the bands sounded horrible thanks to the events sound engineer. There is a lot to understand about proper live sound production so I will just say that the sound is a major mess that really needs to be addressed before the next live performance.
It's a great venue, not a bad seat in the house but y'all really need to hire people who know how to mix live shows. Absolutely horrible!!!

Followed Flogging Molly and Amigo the Devil up to Kansas and was impressed. Out in the middle of nowhere hides a Star, The Kansas Star Casino Arena. We absolutely enjoyed the Casino, my favorite section was the FanDuel area. The food was on point at the Tin Lizard. I would definitely make the trip again!!!

The event center was great; however, the don't have a good system to get a mass of people into the event center. The line was 1.5 hours long! Intrust Bank Arena moves the a larger crowd in minutes.

Very disappointed in the sound quality at the 80s rock concert. Really need to hire new sound guys . The treble was turned up so much that you could not understand anything. Overheard many people talking about how terrible it was. By the time the final act went on over half the people had left. I will think twice before attending another concert at the arena.
