I can't speak for all of gbt, but the ness city office is very friendly and helpful. Some of the best people I've come across so far.Internet speed is not throttled. You'll have to check your math before pulling a Karen, like I did. My bad yall.1MB = 8mb12MB/s download = 96 mbps (12x8)So...when you download something it takes 96 of your 100mbps internet package which will severely slow down your internet leaving you with only 4 to do everything else you have to do on the internet.Its not a gbt throttle, the internet just throws everything it has at that download. You can change this within the settings of whatever you are using to download. Steam, origin, etc.. meaning you can tell the program to only use so many mbps to download. Ex 50mbps.The gigabit speed is overkill for most people, and I wish they offered a 500 mbps package. 500 mbps would be enough for 90% of people i think.If your kid is a gamer tell them to download late at night or when the family is leaving the house. Online gaming doesn't impact the internet speed enough to be noticeable, but when they download something I promise you you'll be fixing to pull a Karen on gbt and whoop that arse.Don't be a Karen. Run the maths and adjust settings as needed to manually throttle your own downloads if possible.Suggestion for company: explain on the gbt website, or add a link to a published explanation, of the mb MB internet speed topic I mentioned above. Thwart Karen's before they have even have a chance, and suggest ways to manage their bandwidth without pushing a higher tier on them first.Customer service over upsellingBrand name over profitsNess leads the way.

They add fees to your bill and don't tell you about it. Halfway through your data cycle they will throttle you to 3g and will tell you it's a glitch in the system, though it happens almost every month.It's better to go with Straight Talk or Verizon.
