I had a really good experience at the Aamco in Olathe. I was greeted by the service manager Aaron. Who helped me with my vehicle by getting a good understanding of the issues. I was pretty hesitant due to not wanting to spend a arm and a leg on repairs. But he was very transparent and informative throughout the entire process. Gave me what I believe is great and fair pricing on my budget. Definitely will come back again.

I just want to say that I love AAMCO and I love recommending people to AAMCO as well, however you are on the brink of losing a customer who loves the services there and who recommends the place to others (I told a co-worker of mine about the place and he made an appointment this Saturday 12/21). This is because of Aaron or Erin the service writer for the Olathe location. On 12/19 I had an appointment for a 2016 Infiniti QX60, the appointment was for a free diagnostic check on things that were wrong with the vehicle. After the diagnostic was completed I was told by Aaron that the mechanics said there was metal shavings in the transmission fluid. However, I took it to another mechanic right after that because I wanted to second opinion upon doing so there was no transmission fluid dipstick to be found. How can you tell me there were metal shavings in the transmission fluid if there was no way to check the transmission fluid? There was also no fluid even close to the top of where the dipstick should be so there wasn't one even when they checked the transmission fluid.
Following this I asked if I could get a quote for the cost that he was stating was wrong with the vehicle his response was somewhere along the lines "I'm not going to do that unless you're actually going through with the repairs because we already did this before." The backstory on that is I went up there a week or two ago with a different vehicle that I was prospecting to buy but it had too many problems so I decided not to purchase it. This Infiniti was now a vehicle I owned and he is telling me he can't quote me unless I agreed to getting the repairs. Have you ever gone to another dealership? You pay the diagnostic fee and then they tell you the pricing of how much all of those repairs would cost and then you decide if you want to do it. You don't agree to repairs that you don't even know how much it's going to cost! Why even have free diagnostic checks if you're not going to give quotes after the fact?
After I sat there for a second I was like well can you give me an idea of how much they would cost and he quoted $6k - $7k for the transmission replacement not through the computer just his guestimation. I don't appreciate the inaccuracy and the laziness because that's what it felt like to me because he didn't want to type up all the numbers if I'm not willing to "get the work done".
Again this is disappointing because I am a fan of AAMCO considering I have done previous work with them at a different location and it was a job well done and they fixed my vehicle. With that being said I will no longer go to the Olathe location even though that is the closest one to me. Now I will just find something local who knows how many other customers you lost with having Aaron as a service writer.
I would also like to add how bad the cleanliness of that place is in the lobby area, I can understand a little bit of dirt because it's mechanic shop it's not going to be pristine. For example, the bathroom doesn't even have soap and the sink doesn't work at all. Also the toilet always has pee drippings and looks like nobody cleans it all day. It looked just like it did two weeks ago or whenever I showed up there for that previous appointment and it's honestly disgusting. It's a lobby's dirty okay but at least have a clean bathroom with working water and soap.

They did a great job and got me my car back in a week and did it under warranty and didn’t cost me a penny. Will recommend my friends and family here.

Quinn and the AAmco workforce did a fantastic job on my son's car! They fixed everything, and the price and quality of work were next to none! Thank you, Quinn, and Thank You, AAmco! I will refer others, and I will be back!4

I called these guys by phone to ask them to get a price on a transmission fluid change for my vehicle. The first question instead of attempting to get a price for me was why do you think you need a transmission fluid change? Look my tranny isn't bad, but was due for a transmission change. Why does it always have to be about a sale instead of just getting a price for a customer?

Excellent service. After having a terrible experience somewhere else I ended up taking my car to Ammcoo. Definitely I’ll bring my cars for service here from now on. Chad was helpful, friendly, professional, they worked really fast on repairing my car and they communicated during the process on how everything was going.

I went here to get my car looked at because it was sputtering when I would accelerate. Typically I take it to a friend’s husband but he wasn’t available and I was pretty worried and I just assumed it was the transmission. They look at it and just instantly said “yep the transmission is bad you need a new one” I was not committing to anything since my car was still drivable and I wanted a second opinion. While I was waiting for a quote on a new transmission, Dustin called his supervisor to help find a “reasonably” priced transmission. While on the phone I heard him say to his supervisor on the phone “how can I incentivize this” in that moment i realized it was less about making sure I got my car fixed and more about a sale for aamco. Towards the end he stepped out of the room I can only assume he was talking to his boss about how he can make this sale because I was not purchasing the transmission that day, he came back in and asked if I had any intention of driving it and I said yes he said “I recommend not doing that, the torque converter will overheat and you’ll break down” Anyways, it’s not the transmission it’s the engine misfiring and there is nothing wrong with the torque converter. If you take it here I highly recommend you at least get a second opinion. I really felt like they were trying to taken advantage of me here and I can only assume it’s because I went by myself and didn’t have a man with me.

Worst experience I’ve had ever. Dustin says he’s gonna call…never does. He says my truck will be ready one day… three days later it’s “ready”. Only to have the same problem when I pick it up. It literally has the same issue and I have spent $1,600 to get it fixed. Nothing has been fixed and Dustin has not called me once. This place is trash
