I had Certified Transmission check my daughter's car a year ago and turned out the transmission needed to be replaced. Not what I wanted to hear and it was expensive. Certified did a great job and earned my trust so when my 2004 GMC started giving me trouble stalling when accelerating, I brought it in reminding Chris at the counter that their commercial states if you bring it in early it could mean repair instead of replace. I love that truck and the motor is still doing fine (230,000miles+) but I still would have really struggled replacing the transmission. I was fortunate that I had a spare vehicle because I had to leave it there for over a week but they took care of the problem, replacing lines, a sensor and encoder motor plus regular transmission service. I'm not sure what a total replacement would have cost but judging from the cost of replacing my daughter's last year, I saved thousands. Let's me know these guys are honest and not trying to upsell something you don't need. Let's face it. Transmission work is expensive. You might as well go to someone who is honest and will do the job right!

My husband and I got stranded with our truck near Olathe, Kansas. Limped our truck to Certified Transmission on a Sunday. They diagnosed our problem on Monday morning. Needed the transmission to be replaced. Transmission came on Tuesday and truck was ready on Wednesday. They went above and beyond at this place. Gave us a ride to and from the hotel and everything. All of the staff from technicians to the management all treated us great. We would highly recommend this place to bring you vehicles to.

I was driving in Kansas City and all of a sudden my car would just not accelerate. When it dropped in speed, it started hopping. I sent in a request on Certified Transmission ‘s website the next day to request an appointment. Shortly after I submitted my request online Chris called me to get me scheduled. Certified Transmission was able to get me in within a week, which I was very thankful for. I dropped my car off in the evening, leaving my keys in the dropbox. Chris called me first thing that morning to get some information and establish a plan. When I purchased the car, it came with a warranty and Chris was great to communicate with my warranty company even though they’re definitely not the easiest to work with. Chris’s communication throughout this whole thing was a 12/10 stars. Every step of the way, every update, he would call me or shoot me a text. Turns out my vehicle needed a new transmission (no shock there) Chris gave me a rough timeline and I think the work was completed sooner than expected. I’ve had my car back for about a week now and have not had any issues! I’m thankful for Certified Transmission, excellent company, with exceptional staff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I am installing the transmission myself and had a hard time with one of the brackets that I could not get off when I brought it in to swap for a new one, and they was like no problem, nice, friendly and eager to help. Answered any questions I had, would definitely trust them to do work for me in the future. Highly recommend

2 weeks with the new transmission in my 2013 Cadillac ATS and I am very pleased. Once unit arrived, just 2 days to complete and I had my car back.

I keep going back to this location. They were one of the few shops that even quoted me for replacing my C5 Corvette's clutch, and they were the only one that talked me through exactly what it takes (it's a lengthy process). And they did a great job. So when my Yukon's transmission started slipping as those do, I went to them first. It was more expensive than another quote I got, but not only did the new transmission come with a solid warranty, Chris walked me through all that they did to improve it to eliminate the common failures. After having the new transmission for a month, there were some shimmies I was feeling. Chris said it would be an engine misfire, not the transmission. So I took it in and rode with their expert. Sure enough, it was misfiring as I later discovered my intake manifold gasket was giving up.
They fixed a transfer case seal under warranty, and I was in my way.
So if you need transmission work in KC, make the drive to Olathe. These guys aren't the cheapest, but to use the cliché "good work ain't cheap, but cheap work ain't good." I'm a mechanical engineer who does 80% of my own mechanic work, but these guys can handle my transmission for me.
