OMG! I have spend countless hours trying to order over $1,000 of product from this company and it has been an absolute nightmare! Their staff are idiots, and do not know what the heck they are doing. My first order was cancelled: no one knows why. I spoke to a CS person who stated they fixed the issue and would see to it the order would be placed and send me an e-mail: no e-mail or order. Called again and was told I had to place another order. Paid extra for shipping only to realize I can not hook it up because I was told to get the wrong items; and then also realize the the "powered dock" did not come with a power supply (which their web site does not state). The website is difficult to use and does not tell you obvious things (like, if an item needs a power cord, or even a link to same). The staff do not care because everything is f*#@ked up. I would consider Garmin a Tech. company, but they are far from it. More like an Indian or Chinese company. Really wish I went with anything else. Garmin really has dropped the ball and this is the last time I will buy a Garmin product (and I have owned over a dozen GPS's from these guys). Never again!

12/14/2023- Recently purchased and wearing the Vivoactive 4s.. I'm new to the Garmin platform, so it's taken me on a bit of learning curve. Did my due diligence, prior to purchasing.. and went with this model. What I love: the look of the watch! Especially the watch face being round- I've have all Apple Watches- so from square to round is refreshing! The watch is so light and the watch band feels great! I like how there are so many watch faces you can get and create.. Battery seems to be good, had to learn how to turn off notifications, but the charging is super fast.. I do have an IPhone- so compatibility with answering calls and texts does not happen.. which is okay, because I can focus more.. Glad I got it! If in the future- maybe one of my son's will get me the solar one.. lol!

Rating the Garmin International location based on my experience with their customer service. I had my HR-Pro for less than a year when one day it didn't connect on one of my runs. I tried everything to get it to work, but to no avail. Through a photo they were able to determine that one of the screws had corroded and was the culprit of the HR strap no longer working. They quickly got me a replacement and were extremely professional, friendly, and courteous throughout our entire interaction. In a world where customer service is always a pain, Garmin went above and beyond to help!

Bought a Garmin Instinct watch on December 30, 2020 and had no problem with the watch holding a 14-17 day charge over the past two years; however, suddenly at the beginning of April 2023 when I charged my watch it can no longer hold a charge for more than 1 hour. I reached out to customer service about this drastic change in the life of the battery from 14-17 days to 1 hour, and they offered no reasonable solution, but rather insulted me with an offer of buying a recertified watch for $110, which is 55% of the original cost. If you purchase a product over $200 I would expect it to last longer than 27 months, or have a reasonable solution for an obvious (software) malfunction. Disappointing that a wealthy company can't take better care of its customers. Will make sure to not recommend any of their products in the future, and take my business elsewhere. Especially considering my previous watch, a $27 Willful Fitness Tracker, still holds a battery charge for multiple days even though it is almost 5 years old.

I bought my first garmin 2 months ago after being tired of rand McNally's bs systems. Garmin has been a reliable navigation systems so far but the maps are outdated by about a decade. I've notices that any new roads that have been constructed in the last 10 years won't show up on your routing, even after all map updates. It also shows many roads as truck restricted when the actually aren't. It's a good decision to run another system in correlation with your garmin truck nav

First the good, I have a Kenwood DVD/Stereo with a Garmin GPS. Great unit. I pay for MapUpdates as needed. I also have an old Nuvi760 that I purchased with a LIFETIME of MapUpdates. The Garmin Express software quit working with my old Mac so I was left with no way to Update my maps. Then I purchased a new Mac and the Garmin software now works. However, when going through the Update process it failed so I called Garmin. I was told the "LIFETIME" map updates are only good for the "LIFE" of the Nuvi760 and even though the Nuvi works fine (with the old maps) since it won't now take the MapUdate and is consider by Garmin to have outlived it's life. Bottomline, do NOT purchase a Lifetime MapUdate from Garvin

Impressed by all of the handicapped and visitor parking places they have. Beautiful buildings. Expansion is great to see, wonderful employment opportunities for Olathe and Overland Park

Anti-consumer policy, really buggy software that doesn't get fixed, support for hardware is less than three years (no updates anymore), garmin explore can't handle the files it's meant to handle, basecamp is dead. Basic functions have "game breaking" bugs in them (Zumo XT).

BUYER BEWARE - FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!I purchased a Garmin Nuvi 2797 BECAUSE it came with "Lifetime Map Upgrades" for the ALL of North America, which included Mexico.I wanted to update my maps because I was planning a Westfalia trip to Mexico. BUT when I tried to update the maps, my unit would NOT give me an option to update "All of North America including Mexico)."Instead, I could only update small portions of the USA or Canada.Customer service told me to buy a 32 GB Micro SD Card because All of North America (including Mexico) required more memory, so I did.The Garmin software would NOT recognize the Micro SD card.I spent hours troubleshooting: I reformatted the Micro SD Card to "MS-DOS Fat" I changed the Administrators on my computer, and I tried on another computer. The Garmin software would not recognize the Micro SD Card. The long and short of it, after many wasted hours troubleshooting, Garmin Support told me I needed to buy a new unit!!!!My unit works perfectly - except now I cannot navigate Mexico any longer because the map "Update" wiped out "All of North America including Mexico."SO it is my fault and I have to buy another unit even though mine works perfectly? This is an unacceptable option.

I bought a Fenix 6 just over a year ago (my third and now last Garmin product). I cracked the screen and they won’t repair it and offered to sell me a new one for a $470 upgrade. They won’t even sell me the glass to fix it myself- stating that it might leak. I’m sure the crack in it currently will leak too. They had a chance to do me right, but didn’t, so I’d suggest going elsewhere as I sure will.
