I have had VERY good experiences buying cars from McCarthy dealerships, but I will never use them for service or maintenance. We were quoted a price for a clutch replacement that is double what we paid for at a local mechanic’s shop we went to for a second opinion. They tried to convince us that we needed a new transmission when the mechanic we went to said there was nothing wrong with it.

We dropped our car off to have some work done and have received constant excuses and non-answers on why our car isn't fixed several days later - usually we have to call for an update after the time has come and long gone on when we were told we would have an update from the service associate. For several days in a row it's been 'tomorrow' and 'we will see what we can do'. Just be honest with customers and let them know an actual timeline. We have been down to 1 car with two kids in multiple sports and need our car back or an equivalent, which is the same story 'we willl see what we can do' for four days.

I made two visits there this afternoon with the intention of buying a new or used Silverado 2500 Duramax diesel. Walked the used car lot for 15 minutes with no contact. Left and returned about 15 minutes later and spent 20 minutes in the showroom with no contact. All I left with was a free bottle of water and chocolate donuts from the service department waiting room machine. The sales people seemed to be more focused on conversing amongst themselves than greeting a strong buying customer. I called the Sales line and kindly expressed my frustration and their only response was “thanks for the feedback”. Between my experience and their indifference, I can only assume that business is booming and there is not a strong desire to sell vehicles.

Great sales experience with Brian White. He was amazing and would get 10 stars. Little disappointed with the communication from the service department as I thought the vehicle would be ready the day after purchase (fix a headlight). I drove 35 minutes one way to pick up the vehicle only to discover it wasn’t ready. Also, we didn’t sign a document properly (we were just following the instructions from the closer guy) and now have to do follow up paperwork which is an inconvenience.Overall great experience with sales. Subpar with others.

Brian Benzing (service) was amazing to work with. He was very honesty and helpful. I had a lot of questions about my car and he answered them without any issue. I highly recommend working with him and plan to request him when my car is due for service again. Very professional.

This is our second purchase from McCarthy Chevrolet in Olathe KS. Their sales staff was very helpful in working the deal that we were looking for our purchase and finding the car that matched what we wanted. Their large inventory allowed them to locate our new car right on their lot. All the staff were very personable and helpful and anxious to please us. We appreciate their assistance.

Terrible customer service the financier was the only guy who actually helped. Salesman Eric did alright but he looked like a lost puppy. And you need to fire the guy who yelled at me for negotiation of a price which is his job. If he can’t handle that he is in the wrong line of work. Outside of that very happy so far with my camaro just wish customer service was better.

McCarthy Chevrolet in Lee's Summit is unprofessional and there lack of customer service is terrible. I regret purchasing my 2023 Chevy Trailblazer from them.Do not go to them, go to any other Chevy dealer.

I bought a vehicle from this dealership on 9/2/23. I also had atrade-in vehicle. It is now 9/14/23 and they have not paid off the lein on my trade-in vehicle. I have called several times over the past three days to find out what is going on. Everyone in the business office, sales management and even the salesperson who is named Jamie is giving me different answers. Now they won't even give me any answers. They told me two different dates in which they sent out a check in regular mail which seems risky. I called the bank in which the lien was held, and they said they've received nothing regarding my vehicle loan. Guess what makes this even worse? My loan payment is due today.

I had good intentions and more expectations from this reputable dealer. Went in to buy a car paying cash -that was said to have nothing wrong with it, upon my inspection I evaluated a oil leak possibly from the oil pan, squeals when the gas is pressed ( timing belt), unbalanced tires as the car does not ride smoothly. I was assured from the sales man that anything I find wrong would be taken care of! This car is priced at 10k - I was informed today that they would not be fixing anything and it is a budget car! Maybe our budgets are different but I’m not spending one dime on your halfway broken budget cars. Be very careful when buying as I find honesty is not easy to find. Even when you are at a major dealership.

I purchased a 2020 Chevrolet Spark at the Olathe McCarthy Chevrolet a month ago and the entire procedure was friendly, professional and efficient. The sales team of Anthony, along with Heath, were attentive and responsive to questions and accommodating my situation and needs. The vehicle I purchased was in excellent, super clean condition, and it has performed beautifully in all categories of operation!

Have had nothing but poor experiences since buying from McCarthy - the sales guys were friendly but the service department is horrible to work with. Never nice to talk to and somehow always running extremely behind. Have had to reschedule an oil change 3 times and finally got an appointment where I was informed it would take at least 2 hours.. for a scheduled oil change. Don't waste your time here.

I've had my fair share of car-buying encounters, but McCarthy Chevrolet's expertise, passion, and genuine commitment to ensuring I was comfortable throughout the entire process was nothing short of astounding.The fine folks at McCarthy Chevrolet showcased an uncanny ability to answer all my queries, no matter how trivial or intricate. I never once felt rushed or pressured. It was almost as if I was speaking with a group of long-time friends rather than a team of sales reps.The dealership itself exuded a genuine sense of professionalism and warmth. Every staff member I interacted with, from the receptionist to the finance department, treated me with the utmost respect and kindness, making the entire process smooth and hassle-free. Thank you!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.I purchased a used vehicle through Jamie in 2020 and it has quite literally been the worst financial burden I've experienced in my life. I was 20 years old at the time and was completely and utterly taken advantage of. I felt pressured as soon as I got to the sales department to sign the documents. I wasn't verbally explained any of the paper work and felt as though I was too rushed when trying to read the contents of the financial agreements. I had family reassure me that these people were friends to them outside of this dealership and were "trustworthy" and even then I still got scammed. I didn't even make it 2 years with the vehicle before the engine locked up earlier this year due to a recall from 2018, later called a "product improvement" where no one is apparently held responsible but me. Mind you this recall or "product improvement" was 2 YEARS before I purchased the vehicle. Why was this not taken care of? Why was this not made clear to me? Why was this car even being sold? Why is it that neither this dealership nor the manufacturer are held responsible? These people do not care about their customers.. They care about hitting their commission and they care about their pockets. I am now upside down $12,000 and still paying over $300 monthly for a car that does not run. 9 months now without a car, countless Uber trips and rides from friends and family. Do not step foot or trust anyone in this dealership and please do not make the same mistake I did.
