Not good. Ordered a shower door and they told me they had it in and checked to make sure it was there. Then we drove there and shopped in the store doing some planning on projects went to pick it up and it was on back order. By then it was 8:00 at night. Then we had to drive from Olathe to Kansas City to pick one up there and not even compensated for our time and loss of dinner time with two little boys. Very upset right now with Menards

Don't like the way their isles are numbered, but seems there is always someone friendly available to help you find what you are looking for. And today even jumpstarted my car when the battery ran low. 5 STARS! Wish HD employees were this nice, and knowledgeable. New fav Home improvement store.

BEWARE. Menards is notorious for screwing up orders. They place the wrong sku no on a product (wood) then say it's not theirs, even if you have receipt showing proper description. Also if you order online they send the wrong product claiming it was a sku problem clearly on their side and local store won't replace with the proper item advertised. Olathe store refunded $but won't reorder proper product at the price ADVERTISED in their email THEY sent me. Now have to wait for someone at corporate help.

The worst customer service ever! When I came to the customer service center ! Two girl were chatting non-stop during working hours when I asked her how to apply for tax exemption number, she told me that Menards doesn’t help customers do it at he store you have do it on line by yourself and the immediately start chatting with the girl beside her I tried to do it but there is some questions that I don’t know and went back to ask her again she looked at my phone doesn’t know too impatiently and went back to chatting i have to ask her again anyone who knows about it and a guy just passed by she asks him to answer me it makes me feels like I was disturbing their chat I remember that Menards customer service used to help customers apply and fill out the form at the counter I wonder if you guys have changed the policy!

Unnecessarily convoluted shopping experiences.
Closely evaluate building materials as are frequently damaged and you may have to make extra trips or go to another store to get what you need because stocks are limited.
Also closely evaluate your purchases for pickup, which they charge for, because they may not give you what you ordered.
Beware that many of their products are special order and if they don't work out for you you will be charged a 25% restocking fee. When I needed to return an item that on my pickup invoice did not indicate it was special order as other items did, the weekend manager said she was not having this conversation with me and that I would be charged regardless of this apparent misleading error in their digital communications.
Hard to save big money with so much time wasted trying to get what you need and not damaged after multiple efforts and weekend management not willing to hear out a very valid concern.
