I had a makeup session with Madison. She was knowledgeable, answered my questions, and was very caring and kind. I appreciate that she didn't try to pressure-sell me any products. Also, when I was checking out, the cashier praised Madison's expertise and gave her glowing recommendation as well.
I will definitely use her services again!

The service at this store really stood out for me today. I don’t remember any names except for Matt who apparently loves labubus. A manager with short hair greeted me and helped me find exactly what I needed. A lovely goth girl complimented me and helped me find another product. Then a red headed girl made some suggestions for different products and struck up a conversation about my labubu. Everyone was so fun and sweet and helpful.

two stars cause im generous.
one of the employees looked me up and down, i had baggy clothes on & assumed I was stealing. she bombarded me with questions and tried to play it off. ironic how you guys have a sign on the door that says “hate doesnt have a place here” or whatever. 🙄 not everyone is stealing just because they have baggy clothes. I just wanted to be comfortable.

I am giving an employee 5 stars I wish i could give her more though. I’m really sad I couldn’t catch her name well but I’m pretty sure it started with an A, she has beautiful long brown hair, big loving eyes, and a heart of gold she was genuinely the sweetest little girl ever I was so happy walking out because I am always seeing her treat ALL guests equally with kindness and respect at the registers, I wish i saw her more often on the sales floor helping instead of these other employees that have a stank face 24/7 that seem annoyed helping us customers, Ulta Beauty if really lucky to have such a sweet girl, this young lady needs a raise with her amazing empathy and customer service skills. 🥰

felt so uncomfortable at this location that i was tempted to put my products back and leave. i felt like i was being followed and watched the entire time and then when I actually needed help no one was there to help me I had to go up and find someone. i don’t think i will return to this location and will shop where i am treated like a human being because this store does not know how to do that.

Short of it:
Maddy is an amazing consultant!! Would've been 5 stars if not for the lady with the black curly hair at the counter.
Long of it:
We came in for a skin consult and makeup tutorial for my 13 year old daughter and we had Maddy. A very kind salesperson walking the floor saw us and cheerfully showed us where to go(the hair salon in the back if you're not sure. You check in at the counter). She was fun and patient with my daughter, who is incredibly shy. Maddy made sure to ask my daughter(not me) the questions and gave her time to answer. She made sure that all of hers, and my questions, were answered. She asked for our budget and didn't try to talk us into going above it. She also asked what my daughter did most often(and since she's outdoorsy) recommended 2 different moisturizers for morning and evening that had SPF in them. She asked for her favorite colors and found glosses and eye shadows in those colors that looked tasteful and had some teen flare. Highly reccomend Maddy!!!
However, I do have to echo some of the other reviews and say the heavier set woman with the curly black hair and glasses was loud and a bully. She was checking the older lady(75+) out that was in front of us and trying to bully her into signing up for the credit card. The lady respectfully declined at least 3 times from what I could hear. She kept going up and down the line as other girls were checking folks out, and loudly interjecting into conversations, as well as declaring her opinions for or against various things. She made a woman and her daughter uncomfortable enough at the register that they kinda backed away and rushed out the door.
Ulta, if this lady keeps getting mentioned inreviews, might want to look into it.

I was able to get my makeup done and lashes by Madison at the 119th location in Olathe. She was not only talented beyond the stars but super professional, friendly, and made me feel / look beautiful. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone and everyone. Ulta is lucky to have her.

There is this girl who has a very nasty attitude. I feel that she is in the wrong industry. This girl should represent ulta 's culture, very poor in customer service. She does not look like she is happy working at this place.

Very long lines! One person working the counter and there are 3 employees standing around visiting but they cannot help the one cashier that is dealing with an issue with a pick up order. Therefore while all the other employees are visiting and no one is helping the line waiting to pay. Baylee was very rude and condescending when I asked her if she could call some to help with the line.

I’ve been going to Ulta for a couple of years now, and somehow I have not yet written a review. This comes from a former anti-Ulta person. I don’t know why, but I was.
I come into Ulta because Brittani is here. I booked with her on a whim when my stylist from another salon moved away. Now, I absolutely trust her, and she has transformed my look. Plus, we laugh the whole time. She should probably charge for therapy. Right? haha I found out stylists do not get a commission on products we purchase, but they should! lol I’m the type to ask questions: What’s that? Why are you using that? etc. I typically walk out with a can or bottle of something. But the thing is, I’m happy with it. Happier than I have ever been. I love how friendly everyone is while I’m there. I got my ears pierced there too! I’m not sure if there’s anything they don’t do.
My only complaint is the endless phone call reminders. Oh, and asking me a bunch of times to get their credit card when I check out. I know that people forget their appointments, so the calls make sense. Just text me. Maybe let us opt out of calls.

I'm kinda sad they stopped doing curbside pickup. It was helpful especially those of us who have difficulty getting into stores. They used to have it otherwise I would have selected shipping instead. I thought maybe it was because of the weather but it was warm today so I guess they did away with it locally.
