Stayed there for my mother's funeral that was held at a local Mortuary. Unfortunately my sweet dog wasn't doing good health wise but the vet in KC said she would be ok for a week or more..so I took her with us to Ottawa because I didn't want to leave alone for several hours in KC..left her at the motel for 3 hours..she passed away when I was at the funeral. The hotel staff cleaned the room after I took her body to the local vet . They also waived the pet deposit. I wished I would have had them checked on her while I was at my mother's funeral. But nothing could have been done according to the local vet. Top notch service however.

For what we paid the room and hotel itself what's okay but certainly I was expecting the rooms to be a little better than they were although they were clean and the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was super small.

This is a fantastic little motel, and very pet friendly! The rooms are clean and cozy. The service is warm and accommodating. The amenities were lovely, and it is literally in walking distance of anything you may need. The only complaint we had was that the mattresses were spring and hard.
Rooms: The rooms are clean and cozy. Ours in particular was a queen bed, a chair with foot stool, a desk, a television stand with a TV, coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, and bathroom with a full tub, plenty of wash clothes, towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The floors throughout are laminate.
Nearby activities: Food, Bowling, Night Life
Walkability: There are at least 3 restaurants within walking distance, and the motel is right next to a convenience store and gas station and WalMart.

We found this place in 2013. Then every year until 2022 twice a year we stayed here on our way to and from Minnesota. Nothing fancy. Great customer service, clean rooms and a nice warm breakfast with plenty of choices. Haven't been able to road trip for a while and missed this place and owner/manager Bob. He knew who we were and knew we were twice a year people. Love the place as does our 2 dogs

This is a budget motel that is sad and worn. Very comfortable bed, but easy chair was so nasty looking we never sat in it. The room needs a serious rehab. Two stars for the bed, breakfast, and decent plumbing.

I didn't get a chance to stay there because the person i contacted didn't finish the booking process and claimed to me that they did. I don't blame the entire staff as the lady I talked to earlier tried to help. But the fact i was told I had a reservation when i in fact did not is unacceptable.

I stayed four days and was surprised that the trash was never emptied nor anything else done while I was out. One of the guests (from Florida) felt the need to knock on my door every night and then hide behind their car in an attempt to see if anyone was in my room. I was also unable to get anyone to check my room, so that I could get my deposit back while I was checking out. I'm still waiting for my deposit or at least an email.

Employs are the best here in Ottawa kansas. Nice and polite. They bend backwards to mack sure your stay is the best.Rooms: Rooms was cleaned and stocked.Safety: I was very safe staying thereWalkability: Very safe to walk even to the gas station next door

We were passing thru and stayed the night. Comfortable bed. Wonderful room. Very pet friendly with a box under the bed so dog toys could not go under. Very Quiet. Would stay here again.

I thought it was alittle over priced when they charge 25 for a small pet when red roof and others don't charge. So based on that I won't be back. Sorry I tell it like I see it.Rooms: The room was alrite nothing special. The bed was really nice.
