“Absent-minded me was on a business call 50+ miles south of Ottawa, KS, when my low fuel warning alarm sounded. Apparently, my call was far more important than my need for fuel when I ran out a few miles south of Ottawa. Having been given the thumb screws by AAA three times previously, I no longer was a member. The Google did provide when asked and suggested Bell's, who showed up in no time with 5 gallons of the essence. Feeling a bit stupid for running out of gas and looking for token redemption, I asked for the can to refill it myself. The gentleman was not having that and proceeded to empty the can into my Jeep. After which I drove to the next exit with Bell's in hot pursuit so I could hit the ATM. I fully expected to drain a good chunk of my checking account to pay this saint of roadside assist, but that was not the case and I was soon to find out why. Turns out Bell's towing has been a family business for several decades and like so many of the Kansas rural populace they do a great job for a good price. In other words, Bell's isnt looking for a big payday from your vehicular misfortune like many towing outfits. They know you're in a pickle and they are truly there to give a friendly helping hand with care. They aren't just exclusive to the Ottawa area either. So if you're in the eastern half of Kansas and you need an honest, fair and dependable tow service or roadside assist, don't hesitate to call Bell's.You can thank me later after your vehicle woes have passed.”
