Need to share an example of honesty! Shout out to Palmer, a mechanic at Firestone Overland Park at 135th St. Story: I had a flat, removed the tire and first took it to Tires Plus for repair, but after checking it, they said it could not be repaired, and I needed to buy a new one. In addition, told me that due to issues that it can cause to the power train all 4 tires need to be replaced at same time (Note: tires only have 10,000 miles on them). So, started quoting and Firestone at Overland Park offered me the best price. Once there, service started and after a while, Palmer comes out and tells me that the tire is fully repairable and there is no need to buy the new tires. Palmer could have easily just replaced with the new tires, but thanks to his and Firestone OP honesty and customer care, it saved me a bunch. I will always be a customer!

My fiancé went to Firestone on January 10th for services on her vehicle. She left with a busted windshield that Firestone assumed NO responsibility for. Additionally, her change oil light came on about a week after services. One of the services she paid for was an OIL CHANGE. After leaving the Firestone shop in Overland Park, she left with more damages to her vehicle than she began with. Since I travel for work I put my full trust into this location to take care of her vehicle adequately while I was away.
After no resolution with this location she left a review online to which customer service responded. & has been in communication with them the past couple weeks after many attempts to reach them for over a month. Customer service asked her to select a new location to have her vehicle inspected and fix the current issue. Once she emailed the information she was asked for, again NO response.
I am leaving a review now, as it is clear this is the only way Firestone seems to respond. If you are questioning where to receive vehicle services from - I would highly recommend looking at other options.

I wanted to share my experience with Firestone on 135th in Overland Park. I had some repairs here that cost me $1,400 and I left with $800 in damages to my windshield. I was assured my vehicle would be stored in their shop. I spoke with Joe, the manager who refused to own up to the damages. When I picked my vehicle up this morning it was in their open parking lot, not in the shop like I was informed it would be. I would NOT recommend this location, no apologies were even offered.

Really had a great experience with this shop. They got me taken care of right away, provided me with an array of options to accommodate my service needs and price expectations, and went out of their way to help me have my water pump covered by my warranty. Special shoutout to Joe for taking all of my calls and lending a hand

CAVEAT EMPTOR.....I had an oil change appointment at noon on 01/14/25. I was quoted $140. They came back telling me I needed new struts. I agreed to the repair. Through various stories and tales over the next five hours, the out-the-door price for this identical event went through the following approximate price point adjustments ......$1000, $1300, $1800, then my dickering it down to $1500, and finally another surprise bump to $2300. Needless to say, after feeling played, worn down, and gamed, I had them put my original struts back on my vehicle, and went home. In their “kindness,” they charged me nothing for my wonderful day at their Firestone amusement park. Nor did they charge me for their “supposed” oil change, for that matter. The thing is that I never saw anyone changing oil on the vehicle over the five hours I was there, though it’s theoretically possible I missed it. Today, the next day, I will get to spend more valuable time getting an oil change, if I in fact discover, as I fully expect, that this was just part of the show, as well.
Addendum: I found a stellar competitor that has earned my forever business, and all in one professionally delivered experience. I will never go back to the Firestone amusement park for anything, as they have the stereotypical used car salesman attitude. It’s all about making the one sale, instead of the dozens more that good honest professional service could have brought them. Thank you, but no.

Came in recently because I have a warning light on for a couple bad TPMS sensors and to get new tires. I decided to wait instead of dropping it off. About 6 months ago we got new tires on my wife’s car and we dropped it off as soon as they opened. They told us it would be ready by 5. It wasn’t. We didn’t get our car back until closing time the next day. So, I decided to wait instead of dropping off. The time they told me came and passed. I waited 4 1/2 hours for them to put new tires on. And the worst part, I get in and start driving away, and the warning light for the faulty TPMS sensors is still on. I immediately go back and tell them my warning light is still on. A guy takes my key and pulls it in. Comes back out about 10 minutes later and says it’s going to be another hour because they gotta break down the 2 tires with bad sensors and replace them. Then program them. I had sat there long enough so I said forget it.
The fact that they didn’t replace them while they had the tires off is very frustrating. New tires AND replace bad sensors was the whole reason I was there. Incompetence plain and simple.
Honestly, this is absolutely absurd! We only come here because it’s close to our house. But I told my wife we are not using Firestone anymore for our vehicles. They’re slow and they don’t even do a good job. So now I’m taking my car to the dealership to get it fixed because Firestone is incompetent and didn’t do it.

They did a great job! They helped me out when I was in a pinch. They stayed late just so I could have my car for my road trip the next day!!

Palmer W. saved our trip home by fitting us in today with a flat tire. We went to two Sam’s clubs who didn’t care about our damaged tire that was under their warranty. We ended up spending over $200 for a new tire but it was worth it and we were thankful for Palmer’s customer service and eagerness to help us. Thankfully we are on the road home, 3.5 hours to go and a new tire too!!

I would like to share my recent experience with Firestone regarding an engine oil and oil filter change service.
Last Sunday, 11/24, I had an appointment and presented a coupon for an oil and filter change for $49.99, along with some additional services. However, only the oil and filter were replaced, and I was charged $78. I questioned the charge because I believed it should have been $49.99 plus tax. They explained that the $49.99 was the discounted price and that the actual cost was around $130, with $78 being the final price after the discount.
I asked them to review the coupon carefully, and after some discussion, the employee apologized and confirmed that the charge should have been $49.99 plus tax. However, they explained that the extra $26.99 was for the oil filter, as it was a rear filter for a 2021 Hyundai Elantra and was not in stock, thus incurring an additional cost. I insisted that the coupon should have covered both the oil change and the filter for $49.99 plus tax, but they argued that the special filter required extra payment.
I told them that they should have informed me of the extra cost before replacing the filter, as I could have chosen another option. They mentioned they had emailed me an invoice, but I was not informed about the additional cost when I was at the store in person, nor was I contacted by phone. I explained that I couldn’t pay the extra charge, and they said I would need to speak with the manager, who would be in on Tuesday. They also informed me that they would not return my car until the full payment was made.
I was shocked and paid the amount. I also requested that the details of the charge be added to the work order, but the employee refused, stating he couldn’t make any changes.
The next day, I spoke with the manager over the phone, but he was rude and dismissive, stating he didn’t have time to argue. He told me to come back and swipe my card for a refund if I wanted it. I found his response to be unprofessional, and I was disappointed that he didn’t seem to understand my concern.
When I visited the store again, the manager reiterated that I had been informed of the price before the service. I disagreed, as they had failed to mention the extra charge in the work order. Ultimately, they agreed to refund me the extra amount that was charged, but I had to insist on only the excess charge being refunded.
In conclusion, I believe Firestone should be more careful when reading and honoring coupons. They need to be patient, understand customer concerns, and be transparent about pricing to avoid confusion and frustration. Better communication is essential for both service and billing issues.

Brock was very pleasant to work with. He promptly attended to my issue and clearly answered all of my questions. Our wait time was minimal and we were very satisfied with the work that was completed.
