“Went out of my way to come back here after a great experience last year. If you’re even a little bit of a wine enthusiast, whether you know a little or a lot, this is your place. They have all price points and varieties, with detailed descriptions in front of almost every bottle. Got great recommendations for a gift and Christmas dinner.Their customer service and variety keeps me coming back. At least one person will greet you and offer to help as soon as you walk in. I really enjoy getting recommendations from these guys, and they haven’t let me down. Ambience is very clean and organized, and they are often dusting down things to keep it that way. Marking them on my favorites so I don’t forget to come back next year, maybe sooner! Thanks again.”

“Excellent staff!!!I pass five liquor stores just to be loyal to Metcalf discount liquor in Overland Park.The prices are awesome, even with case discount on spirits. and when I do drink I drink Malibu black it is a 70 proof version of regular Malibu, so many liquor stores do not carry at all or know it exists. The ones that do can’t hardly keep it on there Shelves.The staff at Overland Park Metcalf discount liquor. Always make sure they are well stocked on my Malibu black, 1.75 L. product as well as about any other wine or spirit you can imagine.If you don’t see what you want on their shelves, talk to these folks, they will take care of you and get it for you. The mostly younger staff, all incredibly professional, courteous and helpful a pleasure to shop there.”

I vetted this place about 2 years ago.I went in with my son yesterday and ordered a cauliflower crust pizza with our awesome waitress, mentioning food allergies in passing. A few minutes later, unprompted, the waitress and manager both came out and discussed it.I was already comfortable with procedures etc there but was impressed they were super proactive about our issues and explained the situation in the kitchen and airborne contact was a thing. Never experienced this before at any restaurant.Food is good and would recommend anyone with a wheat/gluten allergy.”

Recently was looking for local beers and the owner and older woman working there couldn't have been more helpful.
