During our time at McCarthy Honda we worked with Ben and he is incredible at his job! He is a straight shooter and his motivation really was to find a car that was the best fit for us. He happily and professionally handled all of our questions, comments & concerns. He was knowledgeable about the cars in stock, financing options and respectful of our boundaries. We did find a car we loved, but it was outside of our decided budget. During negotiations we worked with Rodney. He patiently and kindly explained exactly why the price point we were trying to negotiate down to wasn't feasible, but he did try to find creative solutions to get us in something similar within our budget. Even after he realized the sale likely wasn't going to happen, he was never patronizing or dismissive. Ultimately, we did not end up purchasing a vehicle during this visit. We are going to keep up with their new inventory as it comes in online because we actually WANT to buy from them. In today's world we (as a society) have to be more cognizant than ever about putting our money in the hands of good people, and we have no doubt McCarthy Honda is one of the best dealerships in town (if not THE best) with GREAT people. If you are new to buying cars or are tired of "used car salesman gimmicks", start here, ask for Ben or Rodney, and prepare for a top tier car buying experience!

I've been a long time costumer of this place since I used to live down the street. Every since they changed their name to McCarthy, their service has gone down the drain. I don't know what changed. I've purchased 4 cars here so that should show I was a loyal costumer. The last 2 services I've had has been horrible. I moved further away about 25 min drive but still took my car here for services cuz I did like this place. Today will be the last time and I will never buy another car here. I scheduled for an oils change and transmission flush on 11/4/23(Saturday). On 11/3/23(Friday), I had a flat tire so I called to let them know I will be getting my car towed to the dealership and also let them know about my appointment the following day. The lady I spoke to, assured me that they would do the oil change, transmission flush, and tire repair at once. Everything sounded good. When I picked it up on 11/6/23(Monday), all they did was the tire repair. Now I have to wait another week to reschedule somewhere else. I'm sure it won't matter to them, but they lost a very loyal costumer.

I took in my Accord after my usual mechanic told me that it just needed to have the computer reset, and that a dealership should do it. When I got a call back, they claimed that my tire pressure monitors were bad, and it was causing the car to run poorly. I thought it sounded kinda goofy, but I decided to approve the work, since I assumed a dealership would know what they're doing, especially when they charge A LOT more per hour than most places. $1,000 later, the tire pressure monitors had ZERO effect on how the car was running. I took it back in, and they basically said they didn't know what the problem was (maybe a wiring issue?). It would've been nice if they just said that up front, instead of carging me $1000 for work that didn't need to be done. Now I'm stuck with a non-running car that I've put way too much money into. I won't ever go back to this shop, and I would warn anyone who's thinking about it to go elsewhere if possible.

I took my car in to fix a broken window motor. I later got a call that the wheel axle had fallen off when they pulled it into the garage. Apparently it was my car's fault, it was so old. It wouldn't have been such a problem except they had serviced the same car one year prior and didn't say anything about old ball bearings. They did still find enough things wrong to charge me over $4,000 though!

Went to buy a used car. The sales person was very nice and polite. When it became time to talk about the price they wanted to charge $700 for dealer fees which is ridiculous. The car was priced thousand dollars higher than what it's worth. I gave them a price of what we would buy it for which was $1300 less than what they wanted for it. The manager came and talk to me, he was a prick. He tells me that if they sold the car to me for the price that I wanted they were going to lose $3500 on it. Which is funny because the price the wanted was $1300 more than what I offered. So they were ok with selling it at a $2200 lose? When I called him on his BS he got upset and said "well that's our price". We got up and left. Hey McCarthy Honda

Bria at McCarthy Honda did an excellent job helping me to find my next vehicle. She was helping me to work with a tight budget and all my pickiness in a car, and she kept her eye on inventory for me and knew exactly what I was looking for. The other folks at this store were great to work with as well and I had a pleasant buying experience. Highly recommend this dealership.

I'm in a market for a new car and have been online searching. Found a car that I was interested in and it lead me here to McCarthy Honda on Metcalf. Someone contacted me right away and was given an appointment to come in for a test drive. Unfortunately, when I got there someone else was already test driving the car. Salesperson went over some details with me as I wait for the other person to decide if they wanted the car or not. He then preceded to offer me two other options, which was not even a Honda. I told him I wasn't interested in other brand. I came here for a Honda. He then tried to get me to look at higher car price. Trade in value at this place is going to be low, at most they will give you is $1000. Plus they tacked on some kind of Honda Assurance program to the price of the car. They held on to my car key after looking at my car for trade in value. I felt like they were keeping me there as long as possible to try to make the sale. Other person took the car for another test drive again. I waited a little while longer. After 15-20 later they still were not back so I took them to call me if it was not sold. As I walked out to my car, the Manager came after me asking if I would come back for a little while longer which I did. The car came back and i was given the opportunity to test drive the car thinking the other people was already going to purchase it. When we came back from the test drive, they did not purchase the vehicle to my surprise. Overall, I was there maybe an hour. I'll give them 3 stars for the overall experience at the dealership.

Beware of scams. The services management only thinks about emptying your pocket no matter what kind of shameless scams they try to pull off. Here is what happened: They recommended four brand new all-season tires + alignment + synthetic oil change with a total cost of over $1000. The mechanic told me after inspecting the car that it has a little oil leak and we will take care of it next time you come for an oil change!! Long story short, driving in the street, and the car suddenly stopped accelerating. After towing the car to their place, they charged another $200 for inspection and said the car needs a new piston and piston rings with a bill of over $7,500!! I told them why the last time I was here, you did not tell me the car has this issue, and they said we told you, but you decided to ignore it and put on brand new tires, which, of course, makes no sense!!! The worst part about McCarthy Honda is the service department manager after complaining to her over the phone. These people do not care about trust and decency whatsoever. And, after deciding to send the car to the junkyard their sales manager called me and hustled me to buy one of their used OLD but low-mileage cars which I said no thank you I've had enough of you already!!

First, like most I usually don't write reviews unless I'm disappointed with a service, this being the exception! I had been looking to upgrade my Mazda MX5 to a Jaguar F-Type for quite a while therefore had list it on Marketplace late Nov. 2022. After a few weeks I had a few inquiries but knew with it being the holidays with money being tight for most that selling anytime soon would be difficult. Wanting to at least break even with what I paid for it two years ago I submitted online KBB sales offers to interested dealerships in the area. Early Dec. I take my car into all 3 dealerships, the last being McCarthy Honda. It was something about the experience that made me feel that there was a definite focus on customer service. Even after many on the floor knew that I was not there to buy a vehicle customer service never seemed to lack. Needles to say McCarthy came in higher than every other dealership with there offer. It was late in the day so the finance dept was already closed. I returned the following day to pick up the check and received the same service I had before. Due to circumstances with mailing via USPS over the holidays the original check had to be voided and a new one cut. The ladies in the finance dept had absolutely no trouble making that happen. My overall experience at McCarthy was a favorable one so much so that I would consider doing business based solely on my experience selling my car. I know it's not often you hear that version of a story when it comes to reviews, but believe me it's real!

The service department has issues. They had to order the part to repair the car and said it would be in he next day. The next day they called to say the after market part came in damaged and they had to reorder. Why is a dealer using aftermarket parts? I would expect OEM parts. Then we picked up the car and it still had issues. They never test drove it. They had to order another part. It didn't come in the next day as promised. Where is this dealer getting parts? Must be getting a deal on eBay. Ultimately left the car for 5 days for a simple repair. I will not be coming back.

Oil changed. No problems. Less than an hour wait. Will go back again. It says I don't have enough characters so I'm just going to waste the rest of this space

I finally got my car back and thought I would be done. Over the next month I received a weird text stating the MIKE was fired and karma got him and that he also shredded my paperwork. I did not respond. It seemed sketchy. A week later Mike calls me and says he needs me to send him my license for title paperwork. I contacted Austin McCarthy and never got a response. I sent my license. My tags expired on June 24. I did not get my title until July 5. I was left a voicemail to come pick up the title work. I called back a couple times and asked to have all my signed paperwork printed off for my personal files because the jump drive i was given originally had all the documents (15) but none would open. I had to drive 30 minutes out of my way to pick it up. There i was told they didn't have it. After persisting that a voicemail had been left for me to come and pick it up, they suddenly found it, but not before the finance manager expressed his rudeness. I did not receive my signed paperwork but was directed back to a different store 40 minutes away. I called them and said i would be in the following day to pick up all my signed paperwork. When I arrived they had more trouble finding my paper work and even my name in the system. Finally someone came out and handed me another jump drive. I said no, I want printed copies. They were scrambling. Mike came back out with a sealed envelope.. I opened this only to find multiple copies of the same paper and none of it was signed. I said I want all the signed paperwork. NOW they were saying I never signed paperwork there. I pointed to the specific person that I did paperwork with and he, MATT said, "I've never done any paperwork with you." I reassured him that he did and he then said, "Oh you had a sunroof and didn't want to sign anything until it was complete." I said it was hard for me to believe that I was able to walk out of a dealership without signing any paperwork and was able to leave with a car.. Mike just said, "Well," and shrugged. I left. Austin McCarthy was now in agreement with his staff that I did not sign any paperwork... this was until I sent him a photo of the original docs on the jump drive dated and time stamped for 4/4/2022 at 1:33pm. Suddenly he was back to being helpful. I have been directed to work with some compliance manager Mikell. She sent me a majority of the documents that I DID IN FACT SIGN WITH MATT. Most documents except the car fax and a few others I am unsure of the name of. I am now waiting to be refunded for the $75 fee i was charged since my car was not titled on time due to their mistake..NEVER go to McCarthy anything. They run a shady and faulty business with many holes..
