Tj Maxx Store: 7921 W 160th St, Overland Park, KS 66223: Unprofessional night manager, defective items sold, mislabling of purses/items, their defective item could not be returned due to mislabling of product tag. Purse bought was Tommy Hilfiger, the transaction receipt called it Steve Madden. No refund given w product in hand and original receipt being present.

The deals at TJ Maxx are great, but this location is one of the least accessable stores I've been to. It was nearly impossible to navigate just with the small cart. I can't imagine what it would have been like had I been using a wheelchair.

159th location, this store is clean and very well organized. It's a little smaller than the other stores around, but to me it's the nicest.

They need to hire some people. The long lines and slow cashiers is ridiculous. I’m addition, the store was a mess. And per usual, the mens section was pretty horrible with very limited selections.

Love TJ Maxx. We love the hunt for the next bargain. I really enjoy the different coffee and syrup selections for sale. Nice girls at the front registers

This was one of the best T.J. Maxx I’ve ever been to. Not a super huge store, but great selection to choose from and I could tell it was a brand new store. Lots of restaurants around it as well.

This is the first time going to this location, and I’m very happy to have one more close to home. I feel like most TJMaxx are similar in terms of inventory, so I don’t have much to say on that matter. Of course, some of the isles and sections could be spread out more since it becomes easily crowded and difficult to move. But overall, the inventory was mostly in good shape (most makeup and beauty products were all boxed and not messed with). Customer service was smooth as well in check out.

Terrible customer service. Manager rude and obviously customer service / communications not their forte. Tried to return an outdoor chair purchased at one location (aTJ Maxx/Homegoods) to this T J Maxx (I had been advised by the other store I could). This location manager rude and told me no. No where on the receipt does it say anything about their confusing return policy. No wonder you already have low stars. So sad. Communication - employee to end customer - is key to success.

Never going back to this location again. Just trying to check out and the cashier lectured us about how Biden has ruined America and the economy and just wouldn’t shut up. Wrong time and wrong place lady. To be clear, the cashier is the one who brought the topic up. I just kept trying to change the subject. Do not go to the location unless you want to get lectured about politics.

Some items their clearance price is higher than their regular price. It means that sometimes you put a higher price fooling customers that it’s the sale price. But actually the regular price is much cheaper than the clearance price. Someone forgot to put on the top of the regular price.?

The absolute, worst customer service I have ever experienced. I previously shopped here weekly, but I will never again step foot in a TJ Maxx after having the male manager (Morgan?) verbally admonish me like I'm a child, and dig his heels in over a $99 pair of unworn, price-tag-still-on, cargo pants that I had my receipt for, and he refused to return for me. Additionally, the sales assoc. named Ghadeer, was vocally combative with me, inserted herself into the conversation I was having with the manager, and inferred that I was a liar. When I strongly told her to watch what comes out of her mouth, because I don't take kindly to someone insinuating that I'm a liar, the manager told me not to talk to his employee that way. SERIOUSLY? Because I'm thinking your employee should not to to me, the CUSTOMER, that way. Clearly, both he manager and this girl named Ghadeer don't understand that customer service is EVERYTHING when it comes to retaining customer loyalty. They wouldn't return the item for me, because it was a runway item, and it didn't have this red plastic tag (shaped like a stop sign) on it. They said it is their policy not to accept returns without that tag on it - even though the price tag was still attached to the garment, AND I HAD MY RECEIPT. Funny though, that NOWHERE on the TJ Maxx CORPORATE WEBSITE, under their refund policy, does it mention anything at all about requirements to return runway items. Nor does it mention anything at all about that red plastic tag needing to be on the garment. The corporate policy as written on their website simply says that within 30 days you just need your receipt - which I had. I took this complaint to District Manager for that store, I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and I filed a written complaint with a TJ Maxx survey one their website. The manager finally gave me a refund, but not without saying he would never again return an item for me if it was missing that red tag, to which I told him that won't be a problem, because I will never again step foot in a TJ Maxx store again. AND, when my refund comes through on my TJ Maxx credit card, I'm canceling the card. Absolutely, horrible customer service and a somewhat shady return policy, in my opinion. I did learn by accidentally getting ahold of the corporate loss prevention manager, Brett (corporate gave me the wrong # and name for the district manager), that those red tags are so that people won't buy an item, wear it to an event, and then return it. Which, I did not do. I mean, they're a pair of cargo pants - What event am I going to wear them to and then try to return them? By the way, I looked that up and it's referred to as "wardrobing", and while I think it would be an immoral thing to do, it is not illegal. So, I didn't wear the pants, I had my receipt, the price tag was still on the garment, I hadn't done anything illegal, their policy on their website doesn't specify anything about that red tag needing to be on the garment, and TJ Maxx lost a loyal customer all because that manager was miopic in his ability to see the bigger picture, and their sales associated mouthed off to me. Way to stay classy - not.
