I bought a new home and it has a closet system from the container store. I want to buy some additional components for my system, and the employees said that they cannot sell them to me because I did not buy a system from them. They said if I had bought a system from them even a year ago, I could buy more components, but they will not sell them to me. I said is there anyway I can buy components. I was told I would have to buy them from a Preston rep. I asked for that contact information and I was told they’re not allowed to give it to me. I do not understand the logic as to why they will not sell me components that they would be willing to sell to a different customer. Closets by design has the same components so I’m going to buy them from there. I will not be coming back to the container store for any of my other needs.

I did not feel comfortable in this store. I walked by a group of 6 employees chatting on sales floor. They all stopped and looked at me as I was walking by. No smiles, no friendly hello, just uncomfortable stares. Felt unwelcomed, not going back.

At least ⅓ of the items we looked at didn't have prices.
Not near as nice as it was years ago.
As far as service, not one employee spoke to us... no greeting when we entered and no thank you for coming in when we left.

Visited to grab some things and had a 25% coupon I wanted to use, it took a little work but the cashier made sure we got our discount--would definitely visit again!

waited at the register, looked at the lady wanted to buy an item. Then she just walked away. So I put the item back and left the store.

Lori was absolutely wonderful! She helped me beyond belief in an overwhelming process. Beyond grateful she came up and asked for assistance. She stayed organized and ontop of everything I needed

Not a fan. The store itself is great and has a lot of nice and useful items. The staff, awful. A woman basically harassed my husband and I the entire time we were walking around. Did not offer to help us but followed us around as if she was watching us or thought we might be stealing? She was being very obvious about it which rubbed me the wrong way. I almost ended up not getting anything because of her attitude. Bad experience so I will most likely not be back. I'll try a different store next time!

There is something quite magical about The Container Store. I am a firm believer in the clear bin concept of organizing my belongings, and The Container Store makes it easy as they have SO many sizes! I love how I can keep myself organized as well as appeasing my OCD by buying the same bin repeatedly without a fear it will be discontinued (Tarjay, I'm looking at you.) Be sure to join their free rewards program.

It has all that you could possibly ever need for storage options. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Wide selection! The counter lady was very scattered minded but our order was finally found. Personally I feel the only time to shop at this store are when things are on sale as I believe they are over priced.
