Used this place 3-4 times and always had a good experience. Check-in and checkout is quick and easy. Reserved the truck online and pick it up within minutes. ??

So I picked up a truck from this store on Friday. Left store and went to my storage unit. Was leaving storage unit and started truck oil light comes on! My storage unit was at a different uhaul location, had them check next morning no oil! They had to put 3 quarts in to get it to show and dipstick.

ROACHES. I got one of the brand new 9' moving vans, only 3,000 miles on it. Nice! Except about 3 hours into our move, we found roaches in the van. Counted about 5 of them, who knows how many were actually in there. Luckily we had plastic totes to move our stuff. RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK

Horrible experience with ROACHES. We rented a 9-foot cargo van and were initially excited because of how new it was with a touch screen and less than 3,000 miles. Turns out, this style of van has a ton of 1-inch holes in the back all along the walls and around the wheel bays - which creates the perfect place for cockroaches to hide and lay eggs apparently. We had moved several boxes before we realized there were two different kinds of roaches in the truck, so we had to double back and unpack boxes to make sure none had gotten into our things. We've already found one in our new apartment. Also, spoiler alert, roaches love to lay eggs in cardboard. Good thing all of your moving boxes are cardboard! This is an absolute nightmare and has added so much stress to our move. Never again. Thanks, U-Haul!!!

Rental was clean and ran great, but the poor associate inside was all alone all day and was definitely overworked. Despite that, she was helpful and friendly. She either needs a big raise or some more help.

Gave them demensions of what we needed hauled. Got way to big of a trailer. Would not let us down size. Ended up renting the trailer and got our bathroom shower walls home. PS, it would not fit in our Expedtion.

This is my second time renting a U-Haul from this place and each time I've had good experiences. (As per the previous reviews) I was not over charged nor was the customer service bad. I know my experiences may be an exception, I don't know. But everything went pretty good for me and if I need their services again (I hope not bc I hate moving) I will use U-Haul and this location in particular

There's a lot to unpack here (pun intended) so bear with me. Let's start with the actual facility. First of all I'd like to point out that there are two buildings that say U-Haul off of Metcalf which if you aren't frequenting this location, and let's be real, who really frequents a U-Haul facility? it can be pretty confusing. I, of course, picked wrong but it was pretty obvious when I drove by and I changed course for the other building marked U-Haul just down the road. When you get here there is very little parking, no signage on where to park if you are renting a car for the day, and U-Hauls everywhere. When you walk in it feels like a warehouse, full of packing materials for purchase and counters with folks ready to help you with your rental. I waited very briefly in line to check in and the person behind the counter was really very helpful and kind. He checked me into the reservation I made online, told me I needed to move my car to the side streets to park for the day, and told me where to find my U-Haul. Overall this process was easy, I'd say it was a bit unnerving when I walked out to my U-Haul to just hop in and drive off without any confirmation I was in the right vehicle, but it seems it all worked out since this was a month ago and I'm here writing this review today. It honestly would be nice if they would walk you out and show you which one is yours instead of just kind of using the trust method. When I was done for the day it was super easy, I parked the U-Haul, popped inside to return the key and they billed me. It was exactly what we had discussed and it all worked out fine. If the whole experience was just surrounding the folks working at U-Haul and the check-in/ check-out process this would be probably 4 stars, but we need to address the actual U-Haul trucks. So to be honest I've never driven a U-Haul before. I know, I know, you may be asking how do you get to be in your middle thirties without having experienced this right of passage? Well, with every cross country move I was the person driving the car we were transporting and not the truck! So, I just went into this not knowing what to expect. I thought maybe it would be sort of on par with a rental car? Not the case. The U-Haul I had made me feel like I was taking my life into my own hands as it rattled down the highway, even going slower it legitimately felt like it might just peeter out and fall apart at any given moment. The steering wheel had what was left of some sort of pleather peeling off of it, everything looked like it had seen better days back in the early aughts, and I was relieved when the whole endeavor was over. Now, I'm not expecting some sort of luxury experience when renting a U-Haul and this was only for about 6 hours so it wasn't horrible, but my god, this was not pleasant. I don't know how often U-Haul updates their vehicles but you'd think they would take more customer safety into mind as they update their fleet. Just my two cents! I'm sure it won't be my last time using U-Haul, but if I was travelling across country I might see what other companies are out there that have safer vehicles.

The staff, it would be nice to maybe get up if you are not doing anything but playing on your phone and help the customers. And next time please make sure the truck has wiper blades and work.
