I much prefer to choose smaller business/mom & pop stores whenever I have the chance because they tend to be much more reasonable and less cold and of course, it’s just nicer to support the smaller options. So it was really a shock when I went to return something they told me to come back at a later date, only for the return window to end. I bought an elite trainer box and went back 2 days later to return it and they said they couldn’t do it at the time because they needed a manager to do it. I told them I had a flight tomorrow and wouldn’t be back for a week, would I still be able to come back a week later and return it and the cashier said there shouldn’t be any problem. Well today, a week later, I come up to the store to return it and they said their policy is to not to returns on trading card purchases even if they’re still factory sealed unless it’s “about” 1-3 days after purchase. So they turned me away. Wouldn’t even allow me to exchange it for equal value in store credit. I am now out $100. I expect this type of arbitrary anti-consumer decisions and greed from something like GameStop but not Vintage Stock. I’ll be going to GameStop instead. At least my expectations for customer service will probably match what I get.

This place will not allow you to leave until you're happy and Sebastian is max SSJ energy. Highly suggest Vintage stock to all prospective game buyers and n*** culture based people. You better look at the whole store, or you're lackin.

The prices on magic cards is a bit higher than the competition, and the selection is mostly all draft boosters. More competitive prices for the inventory that they do carry would push this to 5 starts but it's still a good spot to pick up some cards if you're not near anither shop

We bought a new in box Xbox controller from your company yesterday and found you were charging $20 more than at Target. Shame on us for not researching first, but we attempted to return it in unopened condition with receipt for refund or get you to price match and were told no. The return policy does not state that "games" also includes hardware. How to lose a repeat customer in one interaction.

Theirs a really nice professional dude who works here who helped me out today with a record return and honestly the guy should be promoted or given a raise or something. Appreciate your help man. Personally, I actually just cross used game/ movie stores off my list of "ever coming back to spend money there" when I have really unpleasant interactions at that location. There are other staff that don't even typically make eye contact with me, which is grueling to me because I was always the introvert working in retail, I get it completely. I used to make 6 dollars an hour bagging peoples groceries, but I at least tried to be pleasant to people. Whatever issue your corporate office has it needs to prioritize actual human beings- not sales.

Every time I go in there it's a pain. I see the employees engage easily with other customers who are men, but I have to try multiple times to get their attention. Today was no exception. Not only were they more interested in pricing items, but also playing on a game boy, ignoring my ask to see something in the counter. Definitely felt like it was because I'm a woman. If you don't want to assist ALL of your customers with their purchase, then mark ALL of your items clearly so we don't have to ask, or put it in an area I can help myself with out being discriminated against.

The best place to find cheap, used movies, video games, CDs, comics, and collectables. They also have toys, sports cards, Pokemon, controllers, memory cards, console drives, posters. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They're fans, not just employees.

They've got a very large selection of new and used games comic books music movies and toys. I traded in some movies and games that were taking up space. The cash back return isn't great but if you're willing to get store credit it's a little bit better. The service is good, the staff is pretty helpful and there is a large network of stores so if you can't find what you're looking for this location I'm sure they could find it at a different location.

I was digging for comics, found a sweet key for only $3 and went to check out with my stack of books. An employee started to check me out, meanwhile another employee that was just standing there talking, looking at all the books I found, took the key out of my stack and said, “Sorry, we’re holding this for a customer.” I said, “The book that I found after digging for almost 2 hours?” He didn’t say anything and proceeded to hide the book for himself behind the counter. Yikes. Super uncool.

I've been buying at this company's stores for years, but a recent experience really soured me on them. I bought a couple used feature film DVDs at their Metcalf-Overland Park, KS location late last year which both had some type of defect; one wouldn't play at all, and on the other, certain features didn't work, even though there was no obvious damage and I cleaned them. I confirmed my equipment was also working fine. When I called the store, the clerk I reached didn't seem particularly interested; he basically informed me that, regarding the disk which wouldn't play, I might have bought a non-US DVD (which was not correct) or I should find somewhere to get it resurfaced (seriously?). I later left a comment at the store's site explaining the problems but got no reply.I suspect these defects were caused by some part of the process that this store uses to prep or repair used disks. These two movies were not connected or together in the store, so I would guess a number of their other disks have the same issues. I didn't try to return them since I live out of town and they were under $5 each, but I expected a little more of an attempt at some assistance when I called/e-mailed, rather than just the above dismissive response. I won't be buying this company's products again in light of these defects and the absence of anything resembling customer service on their part.

There are many Vintage Stocks in the KC area, but the one on Metcalf is by far the best, in my opinion. The Vintage Stock on Metcalf is always clean and organized well, with helpful employees as an added bonus. The store is logically organized with the movies and music section to the left when you enter, and the games, figures, and collectibles to right. In the middle, they meet at the comics.Check out the pictures, and be impressed by the selection, as I always am.

Good variety of music movies and toys. Prices are slightly higher than Amazon but you may find some vintage stuff. Do not try to sell your stuff there. They offered me 5 cents for Assassin's Creed 3.

I went here with a friend. We come here occasionally. It's an awesome place. I got a new game for my N64 here. I know that my friend loves to come here for Yu-Gi-Oh cards. It's a great place for that and all sorts of different games
