I've been using McLean's for a number of years and they have always done a good job fixing my vehicles. They always have let me know of any potential issues that might become a problem in the future and given me a quote to have them fixed which I appreciate. I definitely recommend McLean's Auto & Truck Service if you are looking for honest and reliable automobile service.

I have taken my vehicle to McLean's for the past 4.5 yrs and have been satisfied with the service UNTIL today. I had an appt for a standard oil change for my Jeep Renegade, which has been normal practice for what I needed. Today, when I paid the bill, I noticed it was considerably higher than normal. Upon review, I saw charges for a new Air filter and topping off windshield washer fluid, totaling an additional $45.00 that I did not agree to, was NOT asked if that was ok to do or even told there was an issue. I have plenty of washer fluid at home and I sure could have gotten an air filter for less than $38.94. I have NEVER had my vehicle serviced anywhere that I wasn't asked by the shop/tech if I wanted them to change the filter and I am definitely NOT OK with a shop taking the liberty to replace things without my consent or knowledge and then charge me for it. And to top it off, the woman behind the counter just wanted to argue with me that "it's always been done that way". Well.....NEVER AGAIN.Service: Oil change

Mcleans had my vehicle for 5 days. With out of state plates (FL) they knew I wouldn’t be a repeat customer. Since I was visiting from FL, I didn’t drive the truck for 2 weeks after I picked it up. It sat in my friend’s driveway in Olathe, KS since he was my tour guide and chauffeur. While packing up to drive to TN, I discovered my Husky sunshade custom sized for my vehicle was missing. The only people with access to the vehicle besides me was McLeans. When I called and spoke to John (2nd generation owner) he was totally dismissive. First, he claimed they were never in my car. REALLY? So why did I have to leave my keys with you if you wouldn’t be accessing the vehicle? Then he said because it happened 2 weeks ago he didn’t feel responsible for it. He just couldn’t understand that a visitor from FL would be driven around by a native Kansan.Lastly, he informed me that his employees don’t steal. So, apparently he witnesses every time an employee accesses a vehicle … apparently he’s omnipresent!I told him to check his employee’s vehicles to see who had a Husky liner. His response was that, none of his employees drove an F250 so they would have no use for it. The liner fits an F250 perfectly but could be used in ANY VEHICLE.So, his premise was that after spending over $600 for battery work, I just made up this story about a $75 item. His attitude was arrogant and the conversation ended with him saying, “Go ahead and write a review if it makes you feel better!”Beware of leaving items in your vehicle. Based on my experience, he has a petty thief working for him.Service: Battery
