“Called Southwind Cycle around 11:00 asking if they could look at a brake problem on a Trek MB. The attendant said “sure” bring it in we’ll look at it. I showed up at 1:00, rolled my bike in & the mechanic immediately stopped what he was doling & placed it in a bike stand. I explained my brake issue, he grabbed his tools & disassemble the rear caliper & identified the problem. Southwind had parts on the shelf. Mechanic asked if I would like a tune up? Absolutely! Did a quick once over found the chain was at the limit of wear & offered to replace it & check the shock & service the pivot points. Gave me a quote, which was surprisingly low. Does it get any better? It does. Mech thought he would have the brake system replaced & other maintenance & tune up done by the next afternoon. Thanks Southwind. You’re now at the top of my list when maint is required in the future. Oh, Southwind had very nice variety & quantity of new bikes along with electric bikes longing for a new home. How great is that? If I had ten thumbs I’d give them all ten thumbs up encouraging anyone needing bike maintenance or looking to upgrade or purchase new to check out Southwind in Pittsburgh KS.”
