Great, friendly customer service and super knowledgeable staff. Make sure to call out loud for the owner, as the sign says, since it is hard for her to hear from the back!I just needed some replacement glass for a broken frame and they were quick and helpful to explain my options. Since I was doing the replacement myself, they also provided some great instructions to make sure I did it correctly. Thanks!

My boyfriend goes here every few months to get things framed. It's a mom and pop shop and we always bring in the piece being framed and look through the mattes and frames for about half an hour before making any decisions. For a gift I can always pick him up a gift card here, so that's pretty convenient for me. My boyfriend works in the art industry and loves the frame jobs that he's gotten here. Not sure if this place was previously owned by other people or something, but the last 3-4 years things have been pretty awesome there. If you look for coupons, you can usually get one for 25-50% off.

I'm a former framer. So I'm probably pickier than most people about how my pictures are framed. When I moved to Kansas City and learned there was still a do-it-yourself frame shop in town, I took my art there. Frame assembly is nothing like building a frame, cutting mats and glass, and putting everything together in order. But If I put everything together, I knew there were no fingerprints inside the glass, weird wire-hanging jobs or loose corners. The Great Frame Up was OK when I was my own quality control. But on subsequent visits they assembled my frames even though I told them I'd be back to do it. The goofs weren't worth the trouble of taking anything back in, but they bothered me enough that, combined with the indifferent staff, I decided to find another frame shop. DIY framing is extinct now, but the Great Frame Up lives on. As for me, I found a local frame shop with more personality and comparable prices where they do the work right the first time. Guess you could call it the "Grateful" Frame Up.
