I ordered a washer for my residence and they delivered it to the wrong address which was a business downtown. I was then told it would be too big of a liability to deliver to the correct address which I gave them the day I ordered. Called Lowe’s in Salina and was told I’d be transferred to a department that would correct the issue to get an automated voice stating it would be up to an hour and a half before I could speak to anyone. Do yourselves a favor and stay away from their appliance section obviously they have no clue what they are doing there.

They then told me it was too big of a liability to deliver to the address I gave them even though they got the address wrong. They refused to correct the issue while still in my town. Called Lowe's in Salina offered to transfer me to the department that would correct the issue, was then told by automated system I would have to wait up to an hour and a half to speak to someone. My spouse and I just visited this store, one of the items we decided to purchase was a wood pellet grill. The store did not have grill cover in stock, so while waiting for the grill to be brought from the back, I went to the manufacturer's website to buy the cover. The exact model we were purchasing was $50 dollars cheaper on the company website. We have rentals and spend quite a bit at Lowe's so I am aware of the price match policy. We get to the checkouts I show the clerk the price on my phone and she goes to get a supervisor for the override code. This is where things fall apart. The process of going to get a supervisor takes approximately 15 minutes. First thing the clerk says when she comes back without a supervisor is...Well is it the same model? This was in a very condescending and rude tone. The employee that brought the grill from the back (a Lowe's employee) assured her it was. Now perplexed she realized she was going to have to get the override code after all. Frustrated at this point I said forget it and paid the higher price to get on with my day. However, after pulling into the driveway at home the question 'Is it the same model' and the way it was asked bugged me. I did not even unload the grill, drove it back to Lowe's and returned it. I am dressed in my yard work clothes and I am black, so I am speculating she thought I was trying to pull a scam from my appearance. The old adage do not judge a book by its' cover comes to mind. What the young lady failed to realize is the following: 1. Between our rentals and my spouse's property management company and my frequent around the house projects. We on average spend about 40K a year at Lowe's. Just by way of an example we are closing on another apartment building next week. The appliances in all 10 units need to be replaced and we would have done that at Lowe's until today. 2. Yes today I am in shorts and a t-shirt, so I do look scrubby. Normally though, I stop by Lowe's on my way home from work dressed in a suit, tie, and have my badge. My real job is the elected County Attorney (District Attorney) for the county north of where this store is located. Bottom line I am not going to scam Lowe's for $50 and they lost a customer that spent a decent amount of money with them yearly.

Watchout. I found an item online and went to the store to purchase it and they would not honor their own website price. Apparently a tile saw advertised online constitutes a different price in store. I will just go to Menards down the street tomorrow and see how mich better their transparency on pricing is tomorrow to purchase my tile saw. Sad.

Great customer service with knowledgeable employees! Bought some paint there and it's the best I've ever bought. Thicker and less coats. The staff was very helpful picking out paint. Highly recommend them!
