I discovered first choice after I had my device installed and calibrated by another company, after hassle and wasted time, I found First Choice Inerlock and will never go anywhere else. Seamless, efficient, quick, inexpensive and incredibly kind person helps me every time. I'm so glad I have a trustworthy place to get my smart start device calibrated. Highly recommended.

These guys make it so much easier. I've gone to several Smart Start places, and have never got through a service so quickly. Like 5 minutes max when most places I end up waiting 30-45 minutes. Plus they're curbside so you don't even have to get out of the car for it. Brian was super friendly, and really helpful despite me asking a million questions.

This company is a fraud, third party company to smart start, they do not owe the device. Call the number on the back of your device and smart start allows you to make arrangements due to switching jobs and having this device for over 3 years and half years, guy in the morning was ok with me paying the monthly cost the following month.

Ya know, this place wasnt bad, but I just got charged late fees for not bringing my device in when the company was closed for the weekend. How are you going to charge for that?

As other reviewers have stated, ignition interlock devices are more than just a pain--they can be very stressful and are incredibly expensive. That being said, the employees at First Choice Interlock, Brian in particular, have made it as easy as it can be, despite the stress inherent to a DUI. Brian and all of First Choice Interlock have never given me the impression of being judgmental. They have always been very kind and friendly, and have displayed great customer service. Brian went out of his way to assist me with my specific inquires and requests about my ignition interlock device. He was very helpful, and he willingly and kindly assisted , without hesitation. I appreciate and am very grateful that they are open a little past normal business hours, until 6:00pm during weekdays, as I normally work 7:30-5 or 6pm during weekdays. The only suggestion I could make would be that they update their website because it does list their hours as being open on Saturdays, as well as closing at 5 during weekdays. I have recently had some problems with being able to find a mechanic that is willing to work on my A/C system while having an ignition interlock device, and so far Smart Start has not been able to help. So, I am glad to know that First Choice Interlock is a franchise of Smart Start and not directly affiliated. Thank you Brian and the First Choice Interlock team for being so great to me over the past year!

Being in a situation where this service is needed comes with enough stress and headache as it is. The guys here are the reason I make the 30 minute drive (passing the Blue Springs Smart Start location) for any install/transfer/calibration service needs. Fair, quick, precise, professional service. Brian is a very professional and level headed owner. They really are no nonsense.. Prices are legit.. Install was free.. If it could be said that this can be easy? They do what they can here to make it as smooth as possible. Installs are quick... Equipment is easy to use. Staff is knowledgeable and polite.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Not only would I recommend First Choice but I swear by it. Going into this situation was not ideal to say the least. From day ONE until 2 years later I was treated with respect, kindness, and genuineness. Dave is truly amazing. He ALWAYS answers. He got me right in from day one and at a decent price. I would never have to be there past 15 minutes each month when you have to get recalibrated. I have recommended then took anyone that I have came acrossed that may need one. I am finally interlock free and plan to remain that way. It's hard enough going through the court system especially in Johnson County so the small acts of kindness I have been shown repeatedly from everyone who works at First Choice(especially Dave) has meant more to me then they could know. Dave is the owner and I believe he will be around for as long as he chooses because of the integrity and kindness he bases his business off of. Dave, hopefully I never have to see you again in your business but it has really been a honor to work with you for the last two years. Thank you for your consistancy and kindness. I appreciate it more than you know.
