Respectfully, worst Goodwill experience I’ve ever had. Would not go back. Saleswoman scanned item, said it couldn’t be that cheap (similar price to others around it), and remade price tag dollars more expensive before bringing it back saying the price seemed better. Price should be what is listed, not what you can expect a customer might pay for it. Nearly walked out with no items. Please visit other Goodwills.

I had a China cabinet, dresser, and dining room table with 6 chairs to donate. I called ahead to confirm that they would accept it and we told they would. I arrived with the Uhaul to drop it off and 2 workers inspected it to confirm they would take it based on condition. They said they would take it and we began unloading it all out of the truck. After helping the dining room table and 3 chairs inside, one of the workers said they didn't want to take any more items due to how heavy they were (they were wood so moderately heavy). They refused all of the other items including the other 3 dining room chairs. I just wish they had told me before unloading they didn't actually want it. ReStore happily took them instead.

Generally over priced for used items, I was also recently told that anything decent gets put on their online store and doesn't even hit the racks on the floor. The Goodwills in the area in general have become so overpriced even with tag sales things are way too expensive. They use to have .99 day every Wednesday; it quickly evolved into $1.79 day which is an 80% increase in price (give or take). Prices on everything have been on a steady increase even just over the past 4 weeks or so.Goodwill has gone from being affordable for used items to thinking they are a boutique.

The staff was nice except for an older male who went up to this family and others and basically was telling them rudely to head to the front. When the guy walked up to a customer’s wife and was rude it causes a scene. This employee should be fired. If there’s a video look for a guy in an FSU jacket by the games and watch your employee walking to all the customers. Oh btw, he was rude. The guy in the FSU jacket threatened to beat up the employee and the employee was scared. This doesn’t happen if he’s nice to people. Very rude. Very disappointed.

Fat man with skinny jeans was rude to customers telling us to stop shopping with 6 minutes left till close. Tell him to buy some bigger jeans

Went there and this dude came around being rude trying to kick everyone out 6 mins before closing. His jeans were way too tight and he’s too big for those jeans. Those are another story. Anyway, very rude. Goodwill is supposed to provide friendliness because they do so much for the community. Anyway, check the video: overweight muffin top man with skinny jeans and glasses. Teach him how to be nice to all guests. James? Matt? Really basic name. Again, look for extremely tight jeans and fatness. You’ll find him. Thanks!

Do yourself a favor and donate or shop elsewhere!!! This place is a particularly hot dumpster fire! I tried to donate some stuff and got so much grief for how I parked, heaps and heaps of attitude and so many questions about what I was donating that I ended up just taking them to Savers down the street (4 bags of clothes, a bunch of toys and some electronics). Despite everything in me telling me to leave I went inside anyway just to see what the place was like… it had sparsely filled shelves with absolute garbage being sold at prices probably higher than they were when they were sold brand new. They must take everything of value and sell it online too because what was on the shelves was like going to the worst garage sale I’ve ever been to! They brought a few carts of “new” stuff out why I was there and it was hysterically overpriced junk too! I can’t imagine how someone struggling financially feels when they can’t even afford to shop at Goodwill! I really can’t for the life of me understand how this shady company keeps its 501c3 status either… they clearly don’t care about their community or people down on their luck looking for cheap clothes or home goods because they can’t afford to shop there. I’m not sure what they do with the money after the sale but I seriously doubt it goes to anything “charitable”. Save yourself the bad Karma and go elsewhere! There is nothing charitable or Christian about this company anymore… just taking advantage of people who think they are helping others. Donate to a church or shelter instead!

This store has completely lost the plot. Prices are through the roof for items that are donated to you?! Non-clothing items are strewed about the store until they're eventually thrown away as nobody is buying them. No reason to shop here.

Been here atleast 15 different times with zero luck as an antique/Vintage booth owner. They take anything cool with atleast a $5 value (for example.. a green ug sherbert cup) and throw it on their website to start bidding at $7.99 for a measly $3 sherbert cup. Yikes. Goodwills are my least favorite place to find treasures in KC.

My experience was not a very pleasant one.I went there to donate. Following the drive-through instructions, I drove all the way through the very narrow (things occupying some part of the lane) and dangerous (there is a very steep slope) lane even though there was no other car around (except a few already parked there). I went past the door for donation because there was no clear sign suggesting that I should park there and wait. Also I don’t think anyone would notice me if I parked there. Then I got out of my car and went into the store asking where I should donate. The cashier was very indifferent saying he did not know he did not know but eventually called the manager to the front. The manager said that I should park by the donation door and they will get out through the door to “help” me. Even if I was the only person besides the staff there in the store and I was already holding some stuff in my hand ready to donate, they did not take the stuff off me and insisted that I parked at the donation door.I went ahead to park there but I took a short-cut to avoid the unreasonably narrow lane and the street slope. There was no other car as I mentioned so I did not think it was a big deal. After I parked, the manager run out of the door and yelled at me saying that I should have followed the instructions to drive all the way around to the donation door. I ended up arguing with him. He was like “for safety reasons, you should balabalabala” There was NO OTHER CAR! What safety issue could I run into? Also, I have already drove all the way last time and there was no clear sign to make me think that I should stop there and wait in the car.Eventually I donated a bag of clothes, some plates, bowls, a pot, two pairs of shoes, a book, a pair of rackets, and a electronic blanket. The manager did turn to be nicer after seeing I have much to donate. I thought I was rudely treated partially because I am Asian and partially because I did not show up with much in my hand. Or they are just rude - I don’t know.

I agree the staff is rude. Special the older lady and the tall one. They act like you shopping at MACY’S or something! Plus there prices are ridiculous, people the stuff is donated!

My recent visit to Goodwill in Shawnee, KS left me with mixed feelings. On the one hand, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, which was a nice surprise. However, the store itself was quite disappointing. Compared to other Goodwill stores I've been to, it felt much smaller and more limited in terms of its selection, particularly for men's clothing. Additionally, the store seemed outdated and not very clean. While I understand that this may be expected for a thrift store, it still detracted from the overall shopping experience. Overall, while I appreciate the friendliness of the staff, I don't think I'll be returning to this particular Goodwill location (for shopping at least) due to its limitations and less-than-ideal conditions.

I like this place because they take a lot of donations. They give you a receipt for your taxes. They help you unload. Their story is neat and clean and organized. Their prices are reasonable.

Goodwill doesn’t quite fit this store anymore. Since the staff changes just recently, the prices have gone up, the quality of items have gone down but most of all the employees are absurdly rude. People this mean shouldn’t be allowed to work with other people. It’s not worth the emotional abuse to go in this location. Skip the drama and go to a different location.
