“We stayed here to go to the KU game and property is just wonderful. Julie at check-in was really sweet and welcoming! The place is clean and the market and bar are nice.Would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone coming into the area.”

“The best part of my stay was John at the bar/restaurant. He went out of his way on several occasions to accommodate me. He is kind and friendly and definitely cares about his customers. Go see him for breakfast!”

“The room was nice, clean, and spacious. However, the bed was probably the worst bed I've ever slept on. It was clearly a defective bed with a GIANT sunken in dip. I tried sleeping closer to my partner's side but the dip sucks you back in. I woke up with a sore neck and back and feeling quite tired. So 2 stars, because the bed is kind of one of the most important parts of a hotel.”

“I Had a blast here with my girls. Very kid friendly with so much activities to do with the kids there. The water park area was awesome! I will come back for sure! Price is a hit high.”

“The room was very nice for the price. The bathroom sink had a crack but the rest of the room was good. The coffee maker in the room didn't work either but there was coffee in the lobby in the morning. The cook didn't show up in the morning so no breakfast that I paid for. But I expressed my concerns to the manager and she did call me and refunded my breakfast. The location is great -- right by I35 and the hotel is going under renovations. I would give it another try because of the location and the price. Thanks”

“My wife and I stayed at Chateau Avalon, February 16-18, 2024. We stayed in one of the Venetian Suites. Our experience was excellent. The room was excellent, the two-person hot tub was perfect for us. The entire hotel was well designed and maintained. We loved our experience and we will go back. The "d'Nile" wine bar was very nice and intimate. Robert, who runs the place, was an outstanding host! The bar is well appointed with high quality spirits. Robert knows his business and makes the d'Nile experience a true joy. As an FYI, you don't need to be a guest at Chateau Avalon to enjoy the "d"Nile" experience. Also, the couples massages we had were great!”

“I have been going here with my family for years. The only downside is the price but we see it as a splurge so we usually come just for one night once a year. We always arrive a few hours early and our room is usually ready. The water park is awesome, something for everyone. They have improved the food service over the years, they have vegan options and mocktails which are really great. We did the magiquest one year it is really time consuming so we would not do it again. The rooms are really cute, sometimes we get a regular room but a few times we have reserved a kid cabin which has a separate bunk bed. This place is really a top notch indoor water park. It is very clean and safe. I have never been in the summer but they have some outdoor stuff as well. Eta: kids beds are terrible, my kids always complain about how uncomfortable they are. Cute themed rooms but bed comfort leaves a lot to be desired”

“I leave 1000% accurate/fair reviews. Please read!!I've stayed at this hotel since October 16th. It's now December 5th.Upon arrival, I noticed a lot of issues with their parking lot. Holes and how people park. There's also been one car there since I've been there with a flat tire and it's never moved. (Starting to wonder if it was stolen.) When checking in they were nice. But you see signs that YOU HAVE to take your own trash out, and switch out your linens if you stay for a certain amount of time. And should you want your room cleaned you have to send an email!Faat forward a week or so. I notice I didn't really have hot water in the shower. So I call and ask what's up. They're installing a new hot water heater and it should be fixed soon.I also went on a cleaning spree. The dirt on the paper towel is from ONE of the air filters in the room. The other is as dirty if not more. Makes you feel real good about what you're breathing. The stove top cleaning as you can see in the picture mine is the bottom one and theirs is the top. I also asked to borrow their vacuum cleaner since I'm out of state and everything around you says " forget something? We want to make you feel at home, come to the front desk if you forgot something!" So I boogy to the front desk and ask to borrow it. " we want this to be a at home experience, we don't lend those out. You'll need to go buy it." ?.So, every week after that I call and tell them that the water isn't warm and I need them to fix it"we'll get maintenance to come fix it." Well, they must not have anyone in this role because it's still not completed.Me now calling everyday because the shower barely trickles and the water is semi warm to where when you get out you're freezing cold. Even with me boiling water and putting it in the tub..... "yep, we have a maintenance request, and if they can't fix it we'll have to call the plumbers." Please see the video. Not to mention the card issues are horrible. You'll be up at the front desk every other day almost having to get new cards. And the elevator usually smells horrible and the carpets are horrendous. This hotel is wild. They don't care about your stay at all. Please pay a few more dollars and stay else where. You won't regret it. Because if you do have an issue. You will need to fix it yourself. They have also refused to work with me on any reimbursement or even putting me in another room. I've been told I will need to "deal" with having a cold shower/bath until they can get it fixed. ?”

“These people come to our country and mess up every American Courtesies. Go to American 101 before buying a hotel.. And why would someone with a cold be served food? And what they don't tell you is that breakfast is 12:00.... Quality Inn is better.. go there. And please be advise, that 25.00 holding fee is still in the holding process a month later.. it is now 23 or January. (Fee still pending from 25 Christmas.”

“The Inn was surrounded by construction where one needed to drive through other business's parking lots to access the Inn and other businesses.I would have liked a chair in the room other than just a desk chair or the bed to sit on.”

“Staying in the area for work. This hotel location is incredibly convenient. The hotel is impeccably clean and well kept. I travel often for business and am quite picky about my hotels - this is one of the best kept hotels. They do daily housekeeping-which is unheard of these days and feels like a gift everyday.Lastly, the service is spot on and super positive.”

“The new manager was super nice and helpful . Housekeeping was supposed to clean the room before we got in but they didn't so we cleaned it ourselves. Not bad for a cheap motel, rooms could use a fresh coat of paint, but not bad. Usually in cheap motels like this you would expect some kind of bugs, not a single one in sight though. Happy surprise there !! Haha just being honest !”

“A great price for the quality! The room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and no bad smells or foul odors. The whole hotel felt very fresh and clean and the staff was helpful and friendly ?.Breakfast could have been better in that there was no butter for waffles and some of the cereal was stale and the fruit didn't seem very fresh, BUT the person at the main desk would wipe down the table after each customer was done and had left. The hotel maintenance was impeccable. No paint scratches or chipped and even the metal thresholds were clean!”

“Honestly, every time my family and I come here, it’s a pleasant stay and at a great price. The location is perfect for those who want to be close to plenty of shopping and dining options and minutes from the highway to get to KC.Breakfast is great too and the rooms are clean and spacious. The indoor pool is fun and has a slide and the hot tub is wonderful! Finally, the staff- every single staff member here has treated me and my family with excellent customer service and care. The ladies at the front desk are always kind and attentive to us. Also- there is always fresh lemon water, iced tea and fresh hot coffee, including decaf. For us, this hotel checks off all the boxes.Rooms: Rooms are spacious and clean.Nearby activities: Plenty of near by entertainment including Dave and busters and LOTS of shopping in the outlets 2 mins away. Target and Walmart right around the corner as well for basic essentials.”

“I like the set up of the place. It's stacked 2 stories high and kind of like a motel 6 where the doors to each room are outside. Lobby is up front with the laundry/vending room. There's doggie doo doo stations with bags, trash cans, and ashtrays throughout. There's a nice little public sitting/picnic patio area with tables a grill. Lots of washers and dryers, which mostly are working, all $2/ea. Everywhere I've been has been clean enough, all rooms are non-smoking. No carpet in my '1 queen suite', so I'd bring a broom if I were you. Photos of rooms on app and site are accurate. Same free breakfast as the others with it- packaged muffins, oatmeal, chewy bars, coffee. Everyone I've dealt with behind the counter has been nice and helpful and overall very pleasant to deal with. There's no deposit at this location. As far as location goes, there's a couple of gas stations not too far, as well as a few restaurants, as in, within walking distance. Pet friendly with additional fee for non-service animals who stay free, of course. Cats and dogs allowed. I'd stay here again. Be sure to mane an account thru them and book in the app for the best price. Major discount applies at 7+ nights.”
