Eric Coleman failed to complete and file my taxes by the tax deadline. I dropped off my taxes in early April to Eric at the SHAWNEE, KS office and was promised they would be done and filed by the deadline. After hearing nothing from Eric, I called and was told he “misplaced” them (in other words, he lost them.) Eric failed to apologize and still charged me the filing fee. He then lied and told me he would request a refund and that I would receive a check within two weeks. Guess what? The check never came and I am now stuck with late penalties. Eric Coleman has no integrity and is dishonest. He should not be working for H&R Block or any other trusted organization. This experience has been a dumpster fire. Go elsewhere if you want your taxes filed correctly and timely by an honest person who cares about the client.

2 years later and I'm still suffering the repercussions of using Eric Coleman at H&R Block. He incorrectly submitted my 2020 taxes which caused me to have to amend my taxes. Flash forward to this year and the IRS took $4000 from my refund because of the confusion of the incorrect return and the amendment. So many headaches. Use FreetaxUSA instead! Free federal and $15 to file state.

They do taxes the way a combine does corn fields. There's noise and debris everywhere, but in the end there is a ton of corn. It's amazing. It is also a fantastic place to work.

Signed up for the 15 min consult. When I got to the office they missed my appointment (the receptionist misunderstood) then the manager told me bluntly they don't do that and never have. I asked about the reservations online that have a consult and he said they don't do that, never have, and doesn't know what Im talking about.
