*UPDATE*They did not install my windshield correctly. It cracked about a week after I picked it up. You can literally see exactly where they went wrong if you look at the windshield from the outside. I’m so disappointed in this place. Glass is your specialty and only job and you somehow mess it up, TWICE?I also want to add how unorganized and uninformed they are. I called to schedule the warranty repair for the second crack and was told my appointment would only be 3 hours max.. I mentioned how they said this the first time and then changed it to an entire day appointment. They reassured me that was not needed this time.. and then lo and behold I got a call saying it was needed… way too much back and forth even I after I had to ask and make sure. So annoying.0/10 stars for me. I was forced to take my Tesla here via insurance - wish I could have taken it to a Tesla service center. I called to make my appointment and all was great, except the guy trying to force me to buy new wipers. If I need new ones, I would much rather buy from Tesla, especially after Safelite left my car in a terrible condition.I get a call a day after making the appointment saying the other guy basically didn’t know what he was talking about and they need me to drop my car off for an entire day.. that was annoying.Once my car is done I get inside to drive it home and find glass shards EVERYWHERE. You’re telling me they had this car for an ENTIRE day and didn’t vacuum it?? Ridiculous. Not only is it dangerous but I could hear the pieces falling all throughout my dash when I started driving. I can’t believe they allowed my car to be discharged like that, did no one check it??I knew it was going to be terrible taking my car here but they actually out did the awfulness in my opinion. Thank god it was covered by insurance because I would not be paying for a job like that. Absolutely terrible. I do not recommend this place, unless you make sure they properly clean up after themselves.

I shared the common experience that many did at Safelite. Needed a quick windshield swap for a work van, was told there was rust and metal decay underneath it and was conveniently recommended to their “partner” shop down the street. Had a small local company do it instead and guess what we found.. no rust! Shocking. Saved like $700. This company lacks a value driven service process. They are bloated and sales heavy and do not deserve your business.

They came to our house on time, did the work as requested and took care of billing insurance to pay for it. No one likes to chip a windshield, but if it happens, this is the easiest way I know of to get it fixed. They did a great job!

One of the best service experiences I've ever had! From start to finish the communication at each step of the way was flawless. I had my Tesla Y windshield replaced, including recalibration of the camera systems, and Safelite did a superb job. They even sent me a recalibration certificate. Highly recommend.

This place mustn't care much about my business as I attempted for a full hour to find a way to speak with an actual person to no avail for the Safelite computer voice hung up on me multiple times as I searched unsuccessfully for the right combination of words to get past the robot call screener. They don't have time to pick up the phone, so how could they have time to replace my windshield?

I was directed to file on Safelite by my insurance when my 2 driver's side windows got busted in on my 2020 Tesla Model Y. It's now more than 40 days later and I still don't have my service completed, nor do I know when it will be done.My windows were broken on October 15. The soonest Safelite's scheduling could get me in was October 24. Okay, fine. But then I got a call a few days later from the Shawnee office, saying they had to special order the windows in because they didn't have them in stock, and the soonest they could actually get me in was November 3. Not great, but I get it.So I get to bring my car in on November 3; I drop it off at 8am right when they open. Then I got a call a few hours later saying they were only able to replace the *back* driver's side window, as they had ordered the wrong window for the *front* driver's side window. The response I got was basically "we'll order the right window but we don't know when it will get here."Now I'm pretty irked because the weather is getting colder and they can't crash-wrap my window because the Model Y doesn't have a frame around the window, so I'm basically left without a safe method of transportation for an unknown amount of time. It's been a week since my appointment and nobody has reached out to me. I just got off the phone with the Shawnee office, and they said they don't expect the window in until November 17, and then once they get it in, they'll call me to setup my next appointment. That makes it two (2!) weeks out from the original appointment; they couldn't have expedited shipping? Or at least told me "hey it will be a couple weeks?" They couldn't even guarantee that I could get a same-day or next-day appointment when the window gets in, because they only have a couple people that know how to work on Teslas and they don't want to overbook them.I called on the 17th, and they said it wouldn’t be in until the 27th. I just called (I’m writing this on the 27th) and they don’t know where it is, and somebody will call me back.I don't know why this is such an issue for them, and I'm all out of empathy at this point. My car is not rare. Why do they take forever to order windows -- especially after making a mistake with the first order -- and why do they only have "a couple people that work on Teslas"? And why is their communication with the customer non-existent?I'm sitting here realizing I should have just taken my car to Tesla's service department, which -- while still not great, especially around insurance claims -- at least could have gotten this done weeks ago. Mea culpa.

Needed a new window. The first THREE appointments they ordered the wrong window and the fourth attempt they didn’t show up. I called to see what happened and they said they scheduled at the wrong location and couldn’t fit me in today. I asked for a refund and was hung up on. It’s been three weeks since my car was broken into and I still don’t have a window. I have been extremely patient but they opted to try every off brand provider at my expense. Not respectful of your time or needs. Could not recommend less.

Terrible communication. Technician no showed. They claimed they tried to contact me to reschedule but that is false. No email, no call/voicemail left. Real customer service people are hidden behind layers of useless and time consuming automated services. Maybe they hope you will just give up. After many attempts and various calls I found out later that the delivery truck broke down or something. But that took a few hours of calling safelite multiple times before I got a real answer other than “I don’t see an appointment scheduled”. Imagine how infuriating that was to hear. I had multiple confirmation emails. I was even checking my appointment online and checking my email specifically for updates or further instructions multiple times in the days leading up to and on the appointment. Will wait longer to go with a different company.

I had a chip that turned into a crack over 12 inches long. The way the case was handled was incorrect, and Safelite was at fault. However, they are leaning on there, if we don't fix it "file a claim for repair with your insurance" policy. My issue is, that they made the mistake, and when handed the opportunity to do the right thing, they chose otherwise. These are the facts.1. Technician left in middle of the repair because his machine broke down, and had to go to the shop to get a replacement part for his machine to continue the repair on my windshield2. When called to say work was done, the technician was long gone. Said that there was a small expansion of the chip, but when I looked, it was over 12 inches long3. When I asked the technician if him leaving would have caused the damage, he said “it could have” which means he was working on the windshield, and could have caused the damage by stopping in the middle of the repair and departing for 30 - 45 plus minutes.4. He didn’t go over the damage in person, and made sure he was away from the area prior to calling. Them lied about the extent of damage. This is horrible customer service, and then some. They already got a claim through insurance to fix the chip, but now want to have a claim go through insurance to fix their mistake.
