“The people there are so friendly and open to help you if you're new. I didn't even ask for help. Some just came up to me to see if I needed help and even one of them gave me a taste of one of the foods that was cooked at the checkout. I'm currently enjoying the food that I bought from there. No genetically modified foods there whatsoever. Just pure food from Ethiopia. Respecting other people's culture and ways can go a long way. You can really be friends with anyone. I have never met an Ethiopian person who wasn't hospitable and friendly. They have hospitality down pat. We should all be like that.”
“The Shawnee Hy Vee is a great place to shop. Their customer service is beyond compare. Their prepared foods are the best. The place is always clean, and there is a good selection. I have had Hy Vee bakery make me specialized cakes that no one else would. They have given me empty boxes that they prepare. I have seen how hard the employees work when they are catering. I love to visit with them. They also employ people that are challenged, but still have something to give. They cater to the elderly and disabled. I admire them for that. The employees really care!”
“I just witnessed one of the highest levels of customer service I have seen in a long tome. Shout out to Kent H. In the meat department. He was patient, kind and even delivered the meat to the senior citizen to her cart. She could not reach the top of the cabinet. Congratulations to Keith.”
