Trails West Motel is a quiet and convenient budget option. The owners provide amazing and pleasant service, with good attention in person and on the phone. Check-in is smooth, even late at night. The rooms are pretty clean, comfortable, and free of bed bugs, though they can be a little run down with fairly stained bedding. The location is safe and walkable. Amenities include a shower that works good, a TV with channels, and comfortable rooms. However, some guests note issues with billing practices, room discrepancies like bed sizes not as specified, and problems with amenities like the A/C being turned off. It is viewed as good for convenience and budget, but some feel management can be greedy.
We showed up at 1 am in a storm and they got us a room in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later we were asleep in a comfy, clean bed. The room was quiet.

Uneventful. Which is a good thing. Ended up getting a nice unknown diacount by using my Capito One card.

We stay here every year during the fair. This family is the best. It may not be the Hilton, but its clean. Safe and we will continue to stay here every year during the fair. The owner is super nice and its definitely affordable. Thank you.
