“Smaller gym but has everything a person needs for a good workout. Between 4am-5:30am it’s not crowded and I haven’t had to wait for a machine to open. 1 smith machine and 1 power rack. Not really a good place to do deadlifts if that’s your preference of lifting. For me, it’s nearly perfect though. Happy lifting, my friends.”

“This is one of the best things you can do to improve your strength and agility. I have been going for 7 years now and Lars and his coaches have been positive and encouraging every single day! Yet they are always striving to make you a better athlete. Another thing is that the coaches get to know every kid personally, not just some kid they coach.”
“Amazing gym! Lots of machines to choose from! Plus they have the standard stuff like squat racks, bench, DBs, BBs, plates, other types of bars and more. Came for an event and would come here again using a day pass in the future. Was very close to my AirBNB.”

“One of the best gyms I have been a part of in a long time. From the welcoming atmosphere, to the great community of people.. it’s just a great place to be and get a great workout. Offering CrossFit classes and Bootcamp classes - all fitness levels are welcome! Guarantee you’ll get a great workout no matter what your goals are!”
“I originally came to Matt Terry to lose weight, but discovered he could help me with my OVERALL health, which ended up being much more valuable to me! I'm down 19 lbs, he is helping several serious health issues, and the bonus is.....this is the best I have felt in 30 years.”

“I really enjoy Gardner jazzersize. The Fit Pro's are very helpful in making sure everyone gets a great workout at your level. They always demonstrated a low impact version of a high impact workout. That way everyone is included. I had never taken dance classes a kid. So I was not familiar with some of the terminology but Kim, the owner, came in and helped me with the terms and moves. They make everyone feel included no matter where you are on your fitness journey!”
“Dropped in for a week while on my work trip, everyone there was more than welcoming and felt like it was my home gym. I am looking forward to the next time I travel to the area to drop in again!”
“Coach Kevin Reeves is phenomenal! Our 13 year old son takes hitting lessons from him and has now for a little over a year. Our son really enjoys his time with Coach Reeves in the tunnel. He has learned a lot about hitting, the physical side of hitting, and the mental side of hitting. Coach Reeves is very knowledgeable about the game. Highly recommend him for hitting lessons!”
“This Genesis Heath Club in Olathe at 119th Street and Blackbob Road is a great gym to go there. I’ve been going to this gym since the early’90s. The staff is awesome, very kind and accommodating. Recently Dan, ine of the gym staff managers went out of his way to help my daughter and I. He is a very kind man. He is an exemplary staff member of Genesis Gym. I highly recommend this Gym.”

“Staff always seems welcoming and kind, even though they seem bored quite a bit.
Gym and locker room are always clean, and locker room has quite a few upgrades and updates compared to other locations. I do wish the showers had a shelf or cubby for me to put my body wash and such so I don't have to put it on the ground. It'd also be nice if the showers had doors like some other locations instead of curatins.
Members seem nice, not judgemental, and seems like they do a good job cleaning up after themselves. I very rarely have to wait for equipment to be available. Lots of people I see in there are regulars. I currently split time between locations, but go to this one 2-3 times a week, and I prefer tjis location over the other one I go to more often due to my schedule.”

“This gym has everything you need for a good workout. It's small but has plenty of equipment, with a good atmosphere and the staff keeps it very clean. If you are trying to avoid the chaos of huge gyms and crowds, but still go somewhere friendly and helpful, this is a great spot. The higher price and being locked in to an annual contract are the only downsides. Location is great and facilities are nice. 24 hr access is a nice perk too.”

“Clean facility friendly patrons good exercise equipment. The ladies Locker was very clean and neat and they give you ample supplies to shower and even have hair dryers.”
“The bathroom stalls in the ladies room have zero room to get into the stall since the doors swing inwards and touch the toilet. Literally SO small. And the paper towel dispensers need to be changed to the pull ones, its quite annoying, gross and noisy to push the bar 20x just to get a bit of paper towel. OVERALL great gym though, brand new equipment and lovely staff”
“Worked out at this health club multiple times while visiting family in the area. Great variety of equipment so I was able to easily follow my work out plan. And even with a lot of people in the gym, it didn't feel busy as there is plenty of equipment and space. Staff were all nice and helpful!”
“COOL WHALE FACTSWhy does whaling continue?Whaling is illegal in most countries, however Iceland, Norway, and Japan still actively engage in whaling .Over a thousand whales are killed each year for their meat and body parts to be sold for commercial gain. Their oil, blubber, and cartilage are used in pharmaceuticals and health supplements. Whale meat is even used in pet food, or served to tourists as a ‘traditional dish’.Why isn't the whaling ban working?Whaling for profit was banned in 1986, however, Japan, Iceland and Norway continue to kill fin, minke and sei whales every year. All three nations believe they have a right to hunt whales: Japan claims its objective is scientific research, while Norway objects to the ban and Iceland hunts under a dubious ‘reservation’ to the whaling ban.Why are small cetaceans killed in drive hunts?Despite it being illegal in most countries, over 56 species of dolphins, porpoises and other small whales are killed in over 40 countries across the globe. They are killed for food, their body parts, and to be used as bait in other fisheries. Arguably the most notorious and bloody hunts take place in Taiji, Japan and the Faroe Islands where dolphins and small whales are driven onto beaches or into coves, before being slaughtered., In Taiji, some of the young animals are removed and sold into a life in captivity. The Taiji hunt and the method of slaughter is so controversial that the hunters set up a curtain across the shoreline to hide their activities from the public.GOOD place 10/10”
