WHY THEY ANT PICKING PHONES UP ON BUSSINESS DAY
-
August 2025 by Tara Strickell
I honestly don’t think they deserve the one star I was forced to give them so I could leave a report
They were not supposed to handle or touch stimulus checks
But they put my 2 stimulus checks in my ssi causing me to owe social security money
Oh and I have $6000 just missing i didnt know I was supposed to even have
Faced homelessness because of it
Find ANYONE other then them to handle your money
After KC (initials of my payee) left my money kept going missing

I have been waiting on money since Monday.
I have been hungry and no able to eat. They are in charge of my money but they are making me strave and be homeless when I have $6000 in the bank.
I hope that this get fixed and DCF helps with a investigation on the Payee program at The Break Through house. Feels like Britney spears conservatoryship. Just like Britney and anyone else.
My sister and grandma and grandma assent have made my life very hard and they keep trying to. And it's not far but there fighting a fight they are not going to win.

Just bad news. bills paid late, late rent, overdrawn more than once. Get interrogated when I ask for spending money like I'm a criminal who can't be trusted with their own money. been lied to repeatedly. Nobody ever return phone calls. if I ever ask for information on my account they're looking at me suspiciously asking me why I want to know. Seems like they have different staff every other month. Not recommended. Was waaay better before Kathy left.

This organization has upgraded it's staff and has a new Director who, along with their very caring staff is striving to provide essential services to people struggling with mental health issues and may also be homeless. This is not an easy task and with a limited budget is even more difficult. The staff presses on every day despite the physical, emotional and intellectual challenges they face every day in hopes of making our world a better place for their clients to live!

I met with Debra a few weeks ago and was very impressed with her. She seemed very caring and competent. The turnover there has been absolutely horrendous and I don't really understand that, but Lindsay has been answering the phone and I have found her to be nice and doing a good job. I have talked twice now with Coleen and believe her to be very competent. She has helped me on both occasions and I'm grateful.
