This store use to be my favorite dollar general in Topeka, but I'm not sure what is happening with it..... All of a sudden I'm getting terrible customer service and the store is disgusting and today I went there around 8am and they were not open and the manager was sitting there in her grey kia

Recently visited the Dollar general store on Gage Street in Topeka Kansas we stopped in there every evening after a long day at work my son has developmental disability he went in the store first I realized I needed something so I entered the store as my son was paying for his purchase and he decided he was going to follow his dad to see what his dad was wanting the manager I believe yelled at my son to leave his bag at the front of the store like he was going to steal something it's a well-known fact the Dollar general stores have a problem with theft it surely is not someone who comes in everyday after a long day at work construction to get things for the next day is the ones doing the stealing I have witnessed a manager at a dollar store going out the back door with the inventory the attitude of this manager when I began to question her why she was so rude to my son she said in a real snotty tone about he needed to leave his bag by the door I told her because of that then we will not be stopping in to that store any longer she begin to yell saying that's your priority repeating that several times. This lady is not suited for management position because I've recently heard her talking down to the employees there which I thought that was rather weird and then if she's going to be such a rude offensive person they need to transfer her over to 6th and golden and let her yell insults over there because 14th and Gage is not the place to be rude to the everyday customer like this person. I don't know how long she's been a manager it couldn't be very long because she is on some kind of power trip because she's a manager at the Dollar general store.. Dollar general I know you don't care but you just probably lost $500 worth of business from us. Your prices for Dr pepper and things like that are higher than the everyday grocery store and we do not have to deal with an uneducated an unfriendly manager at the regular grocery store

Always friendly, I most times find what I went shopping there for. It seems to me it is one of the cleaner Dollar store I have been in beside the Dollar general on California Street.

No matter what time of day you go in here you can always find s staff arguing with each other, 1 woman stocking and 1 guy on register. Each time my patience grows disturbed bc the lady's excuse for not checking customers out on the other register IS SHE DOESN'T HAVE A DRAWER?????WHY NOT???? THE JOB OF THE EMPLOYEE IS GET THE CUSTOMER TO SPEND AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE! IF CUSTOMERS ARE IRRITATED WITH CONSTANTLY WAITING THAT WONT HAPPEN! THANKS
