“I have Asperger's, I'm in this store almost once a day, but on Christmas eve I was threatened by a guy mistaking me for someone else and asking for money he thought I owed him. Not only did the cashier step in, one stepped away from his register to walk me outside and get me to my car. I don't like hugging people I don't know, but I gave that guy a hug for being an absolute badass.”
“Employees were very friendly. Frustrated with the company overall. I understand they had to raise prices to $1.25, but there is stuff over that. The beauty of the Dollar Tree was everything was the same price. I don't normally shop at Dollar Tree anymore because of this issue, but I stopped in today to see what has changed. Again the employees were super friendly!!!!!”

“It is almost a miniature version of most Dollar General stores. Don't let it fool you, it is absolutely packed with the same stuff as a bigger store. Bonus points for being organized and clean. Go there while you wait on your pizza from Marcos next door.”

“Above and beyond should be their motto. I was shopping for items for a local event. Storms the night before caused some glitches in the computer system so they could not accept credit cards. Many of us didn’t have cash so they politely invited us to leave our baskets and they were sorry for the inconvenience. I left a small notebook with all my event plans in my basket. I got home called the store and asked if it had been seen. Tashi was polite and helpful but hadn’t seen it. We stopped by the store later that night and I purchased some items and left my name and number. Again, Tashi was kind, helpful and understanding. An hour later, she called! She found it! What a lifesaver. She went above and beyond. They will get my repeat business.”
“Rented a Rug Doctor but didn’t assume the name Dr Rug. This is good and I’m grateful for keeping my unassuming self, free from self proclamation. The Rug Doctor did a great job and priced right. Dorothy, the store manager was very helpful and does an amazing job as her help is.

“Came here tonight and am solely writing this review for the diva Paige worker there tonight. She was fantastic! We needed age approval for the lighters we were buying. she was at the register typing in her key before we could even lift our head to get the attention of someone. Then as she’s doing that another customer asks her if they have paint and paint brushes and Paige took it like a champ. She said yes one second stay right there I’ll help you in one moment. She finishes up with us then helps the other customer. As she’s walking back from walking the customer all the way to the craft isle boom a different customer drops a glass vase. Miss Paige immediately jumped in quickly grabbed the broom and dust pan all while reassuring the customer that it was okay not a big deal. She did all this and looked tea her outfit was so cute!!”
“Lots of thefts every week but the staff are awesome! They are Very helpful and you can tell they try hard to keep the place in order when they have the staff to do so. If customers were more respectful to this place it would be in much better shape. If you see someone stealing from here feel free to speak up to them or the staff. A little goes a long way!”
“Ran into the GM, only had the position for a couple of weeks, very nice, polite, and good work ethic so you can tell the employees aren't trying. Which causes products not to be stocked and left everywhere.”
“This shampoo found at Dollar General (purchased in north Topeka Blvd in shopping center) is the only kind they have that isn't heavy laden with several types of sulfates that is very harsh on your hair. This is free from all kinds of chemical & additives that can be harmful. It's safe for you, the planet & no testing on animals. It smells great & gets your hair really clean & soft.”

“It's been a while since I've been to the south Topeka Boulevard Dollar General. I usually go to the location at 10th and Fairlawn. I needed to leave a review to give the south Topeka location some praise. Everything was put up and orderly. The 10th and Fairlawn Dollar General has been a mess lately. I was in the are checking out The Giving Tree this past Saturday(7/25/2026), so I walked over to this Dollar General for the convenience. The staff deserves amazing praise for having everything put up, so that carts and full boxes weren't in the way like 10th and Fairlawn.”
