“A little higher in price, but the quality of lumber is much better. Lumber from Lowes and Home Depot always warp on me if not used within a few days. Some warped so bad it was no longer useable. Lumber from Sutherlands sat in the sun for 2 weeks and never warped or bowed. They also have some items no one else in Topeka carries. One example is they carry the size of furnace filter I need when no other place, not even heating and AC professionals, carry. My normal AC person could not even order the correct size for me. Service is also much better than I have experienced elsewhere. Always someone to help me load anything I need help with while other places never provide loading help.”

“One of our fav places to get plants! I only get my Japanese Maples from Skinners! I love to drive from Manhattan just to see what they have in stock. We also look at some of the annuals there and other perennials. They have a huge stock of plants, trees and even rocks!”
