If I could give 0 stars, I would. Upon entering I could just feel bad vibes and a sense of entitlement from the workers. The one working with me instantly rolled her eyes to her coworker as I walked up and both thought it was funny. She then snatched my ID out of my hand and had a major attitude problem. I should’ve just taken my items and left but didn’t. I was offered $14 for nice name brand clothing. Not the same as they used to be. I will not be returning.

Worst customer service ever , the young lady's are very rude !!!! If you need help and ask , they act like you are a problem. Everything is so expensive for being second hand. Brand new of the same product is the same price basically.

I came here about a month and a half ago and I had brought in a bunch of my clothes (Nike, under armor, SHEIN, etc). They took every SHEIN item I had, but not the brand new Nike leggings and shorts. I had a couple brand new under armor items that they did not take because they were ‘stained’. There were several cute and in style items that weren’t name brand but they still did not take them. They will only take your clothes if you are conventionally attractive, or have mostly SHEIN shit. Not to mention the horrible customer service. All I got was eye rolls and glares the whole time I was there. Hope this helps!

Have never sold anything because what I bring in is either a “” out of season or too expensive

I’ve been a loyal customer of this store for many years. Unfortunately, the overall customer service has consistently been mediocre. Recently, I’ve encountered a young employee who is particularly unfriendly and unwelcoming during my visits. As someone who has supported this business for a long time, it's disappointing that she can’t even offer a simple smile or greeting.
That said, I want to acknowledge a newer staff member, possibly named Kingsley or Kinley, who has been very helpful and courteous during my recent visits. Her attitude is a refreshing change and an example of how customer service should be. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides appropriate guidance to ensure all staff reflect the level of service loyal customers deserve.

Good selection if you want to buy. Don’t bother trying to sell to them. They will sell SHEIN at more than full price but not practically brand new Old Navy, MadeWell, and Duluth jeans. “Too old”. At least one pair of MadeWell jeans had tags still. I’ll easily make $200 for the bag of clothes they passed on. Definitely not worth the effort.

I love buying things at Plato’s because of the variety and prices. However, my customer experience has been displeasing. Most of the staff are friendly, but there is one who I believe works in management. That makes me very uncomfortable, dirty looks, and she does not greet me when I come in. I’ve spent a lot of money here. I simply asked where gym shark items are. She looks me up and down says if they have your size it’s over there. How do you know I’m shopping for myself? Also I am a size 0 a small, most places have my size in everything.

Store is full of wrinkly clothes from SHEIN and early 2000s, absolutely no good options but you bring in brand new nice brand clothes they won’t take it and for what? A wrinkle? Spots that don’t exist? I’ve brought in brand new Columbia, north face, Nike, and it’s been turned down. Weird. This place sucks. Driving to the one in KC is the better option.

I don't know why I bother to continue selling clothes here, as it's hard to get over $20- and it's been this way practically since they moved to this location. I may be 27, but still wear what they sell/buy but they always say my stuff is out of style or stained- yeah like I'd sell stained clothes lmao. Not only that but now the stuff they sell almost looks like middle school clothing, everything is so small. Even going in the XL'S you may as well size up again, it's just weird. I remember when they were off wanamaker they always had the cutest stuff and when I'd sell to them I'd get at least like $75, heck I've even gotten over $100 but not anymore. Place just isn't the same. And some of their prices are also way too high, only time I can afford to buy stuff here is when they do their 70% off sales.

Literally the worst sizing organization I have ever witnessed!! I am usually a Large to XL in pantsand dresses, and a medium in shirts, due to my scoliosis. I don't know who determines sizing, but some how I needed to go to the 3XL rack for pants that could fit me. The shirt were a disaster as well, needing to be a 2XL for a tank top that fit. There was maybe one clothing item that was sized correctly, and it was the medium brown adjustable tank. The only redeeming part was the employees who were nice enough when I had to keep returning items that were 2 sizes too small after trying them on, when I first came in. Even then it felt like they kept staring at me, but that could be my imagination.

Worst experience I’ve ever had, brought in like new jeans. And got treated like I was a scrub! Never again will I shop there, their prices are bs. And the workers are very stuck up and rude! I rather shop at Ross, where I can get brand new name brand clothes for cheaper!

First time visiting the Fairlawn Plaza location since its move from Wanamaker. The location felt alot less crowded & better maintained. I especially appreciated the amount of men's selection. This is not always the case at other locations.

Everytime I go in here it's just a disappointment. It used to be the place to go like 8 years ago, but to me, it seems like they are stuck in that place of 8 years ago as far as fashion sense goes. That's why I never buy anything because some of us actually keep up with trends, so when you take your clothes in here if they're not at least that old, you won't be selling much, if anything. The workers are rude and look at you like an inconvenience rather than a customer who's helping them stay in business. Would sooner make the trip to Lawrence to go to Arizona Trading Co. Better prices, fashionable clothes, and staff that at least fake like they like their jobs lol. Don't even waste your time with this place it makes nonsense.
