This hotel needs to be closed or inspected by the higher up staff from Ramada itself. The pictures posted on the website are from 20-30 years ago. Big difference once you actually get there. I am sure this hotel was great 30 years ago and was booming, but not now. The place feels dirty and it is dirty. The elevators are old and scary, the hallways to the rooms are very disgusting. You can see smoke stains, black stains from who knows what, chipped paint, wall paper peeling, just plain gross. Not to mention the carpet. We were staying at this hotel to visit a relative, and when they arrived at the hotel, they were astonished. They said that it is the same carpet from 50 years ago. That is completely disgusting. When you arrive in your room, there are even more surprises. The AC did not work until about 3 in the morning when it decided to get freezing cold. The carper is nasty along with the window curtains and the whole bathroom. Wall paper was coming off, and everything you touched you wanted to sanitize your hands right after. We were traveling with our 10 month old, and we didn't want him crawling on the floors, because who knows what all has gone on with the old carpet. Good thing we were there to basically sleep. The price for the rooms were not bad. That is why we stayed there along with it being a central location. We wanted to use the pool. That was a big mistake. When we dipped our feet in, it was ice cold. Like the whole pool was filled with ice. Tried the hot tub, and you could get a burn from it. Had a disappointed kid that we could not take him swimming. Ramada needs to take a good look at this location. I would not recommend anyone staying here.

The building is huge but everything needs updated!! The staff were friendly and the location worked for what I needed but would not stay here again until it could be renovated.

No AC. The two ladies at the front didn't know how to check someone in or maybe one was training the other. The one training acted like it was below her to help. This place needs to be updated, from the ground up, including employees.

Come for the late-night room when all other hotels are full and stay for the memories.
Price is great value to experience a live scene of Breaking Bad. From the moment we entered the lobby with friends of Jesse Pinkman in some sort of pharmaceutical trials, we knew we were in for a memorable stay. The clanky elevator offered a lively metallic soundtrack and the hallways were decorated in a tasteful stain motif.
Our room came with a complimentary skin treatment which may have been caused by the sheets or perhaps the bed bugs. And to close out our stay, a fellow guest rode the elevator down with us toting his live emotional-support chicken in a plastic grocery bag.
Thank you, Ramada Inn, for making an otherwise boring I-70 drive memorable!

TV would not turn on, AC doesn't blow cold. Asked for help and the service guy said no ACs blow well. The front desk didn't act as if they cared. Asked for a different room and they wouldn't move me. This is NOT. A 3star hotel. Clean was not part of this hotel

The first time we stayed here, it was amazing. This trip was horrible. The TV would not turn on in the first room we had, the a/c didn't cool the room, we had to ask for a fan to be delivered to the room. Day 2 and 3 we asked for the trash to be removed from room and for new towels...it never happened. When I complained to the front desk, they moved us to the room next door. Much cooler a/c, clean and fresh towels and no trash! The toilet in the second room leaked at the floor and the tub faucet leaked...I don't know that we will be back, which is sad because all of the employees we dealt with were very nice.

When you walk in the lobby, you will think you are in a five-star luxury hotel. Once you take a few steps past the lobby, you will see chipped paint, an elevator that has been out of service for quite some time, and many rooms with the numbers removed that are being used for some other purpose. I only booked three star and above hotels because that means that they're supposed to have a bar or restaurant. While they do have a restaurant/bar, it is not open on the weekends and only from 5:00 to 9:00 Monday through Thursday. If all you want to do is sleep, the bed was fairly comfortable.

This Ramada Inn used to be a wonderful hotel. It’s just sad and empty now. My biggest complaint is the state of the rooms. My well worn mattress didn’t fit on the bed properly. The windows were filthy, my bathroom light fixture was missing 2 light bulbs and the sink wouldn’t drain. I’m frankly surprised that Wyndham puts their name on this hotel.

A great place in downtown Topeka. The rates are in line with hotels of similar quality. The amenities are plentiful, and it was kept very clean. I'll stay again!

The elevators were broken for I g all guests to use a freight elevator. The rooms are dated and smell musty. The breakfast was not hot. None of the restaurants or bars within the hotel are open

This hotel was great because of the location. We arrived at the train station and we were able to walk to the hotel at 1:00am, however, the rooms could use some work.
We had the weirdest showerhead that blasted out a shower so powerful I thought it was going to blow me into the room next door. And although it looked like you could adjust it, that was just for show.
The rooms are also dated and some things could use some repair.
The elevators were both out of order, so everyone had to use the one service elevator.
But, I, for some reason, really liked this hotel. Wish the restaurant would've been open on the weekend.
Would stay here again.

Since when do I need to inform a hotel that I need my room serviced after the third day? Absolutely terrible service. The hotel is straight out of the 90s, and it's way past time for an update. This is my first of 5 weeks in Topeka and I'm definitely staying somewhere else after this week.
