Best Pay, Worst Co-Workers, illegal activities by co-workers have almost cost me my life too many times to count. My advice is you come with a Partner that wants be on the road with you. Bring Someone you know. If you don't, be prepared to watch your back the whole time. Please don't tell your boss about the illegal activities , nor disrespectful co-worker's because they will not do anything about it. They are so desperate for driver's, they can do anything they want as long as the job gets done. No Matter how unprofessional they will be, you have to have tough skin for your co-worker's. The transported prisoners never are the problem.

Don't judge a book by its reviews, this job is fast paced, you are your on boss while you are on the road. I have read reviews several times and if this job was so bad why did some of the people who post the reviews has quit and come back several times. Security Transport Services are under new ownership. The new owners are working hard to make changes. Better vans, employees uniforms, and most of all EMPLOYEES FIRST.

All I kept getting was a voicemail saying closed due to weather when it was one of the nicest days we have had all year. Ridiculous when you have a bad situation going on!!

If you have GPS on your tractor trailers, you better be keeping an eye on the drivers that are driving down Old Lemay Ferry Rd in Antonia, MO. That driver that just went down the hill to Old Hwy M was definitely going well above the 30 MPH speed limit. There are children that live in the houses along this road and residents that have to walk out to the road to get their mail. I will be taking videos of those trucks and sending them to Jefferson County Sheriff's department. This needs to be addressed before someone gets hurt by one of your careless drivers.

Leaving this review for the following reason:Van number: S-174 (didn’t get the US DOT number)My mother and I were in Gila Bend, AZ at the Loves Truck Stop tonight for one last pit stop before getting to Phx. My mother was waiting for me outside the restroom when she hears “excuse me.” She turns and sees an inmate in shackles with an “officer” from STS going into the men’s room. It made her so nervous she went back into the women’s room to wait for me and ask me about it. I, being a former Extradition Agent myself lost my cool by this. 1) this is a very, very busy gas station and it’s full of families with little kids. There should be NO reason what so ever that the drivers/officers (whatever you want to call them) think it is ok to allow prisoners to use the restroom at an unsecured facility!!!! 2) If you’ve ever been to Gila Bend it’s a small (very small desert town) in the middle of no where! If those prisoners had decided to over power those officers and take off, they could of easily gotten away. And since it was almost 2100 (9pm) it’s completely pitch black out there, they have numerous places they could have hid. Sorry this review was so long but I felt that the blatant disregard these officers/drivers had for the public safety was just insane to me. I currently work for a county jail now and can read people, these inmates were not small time looking offenders. They should of not been allowed to use the public facilities. Especially in such a busy place. I’ve called your office and already filed a complaint and was told it will be forwarded to management. But I wanted to leave something here to make sure my point was made. Shame on those employees! And I hope better training is put into place and also I hope common sense is told that it needs to be implied just because TST has a policy that prisoners are allowed to use public facilities that are not busy or are an outside building does not mean use them. Thank you.

Was transported from Wisconsin to North Dakota after Xmas and had a great time watching the driver and passenger play around on their phones while driving.

If you want to see the United States its good but you won't get the pay as if you were a truck driver because basically that's what you are doing but just carrying prisoners. They pit you in a hotel if the trip is too long and the inmates at a local jail. But sometimes the hotels they put you in is the most ghetto neighborhoods that you may have to load your weapons to be on the safe side. This company does not want you to load your weapon ever but want you to carry an empty clip in your gun if your carrying a prisoner while working and you are required to work with a weapon... Go figure. They give give you a credit card to feed them. And credit card for the hotel. The vehicles have very high mileage but they often break down and if you're in another state it's frustrating. If you need a day off, you have to put it in a month ahead

Would be good if it was run correctly. Like paying drivers overtime on mileage. Not setting out of state drivers in crack house hotels everynight. No wonder people quit working for them.

No benefits. Poor pay. No real training. The ONLY advantage is flexible work hours.
