I would highly recommend Unique Design. We recently purchased tile for a new kitchen backsplash. They had many options to choose from, much more than the local big box stores. They were also the installers and did a fantastic job.

Mike was incredibly helpful and super knowledgeable about all the products they carry. Great selection of different types. Excellent communication skills. My husband and I really were impressed with him and the store. We won't go anywhere else.

I really wish I could rate this business well, but unfortunately I just can’t. I gave them a call about doing some tile work in my kitchen, they came out and measured then invited me back to their shop to look over options. The designer seemed enthusiastic and willing to help, though I wasn’t wholly convinced that she was well versed in transitional midcentury design, which is fine since I already knew what I wanted.A few days later I visited, expecting a plan going forward.They picked out exactly what I had in mind, but when I asked about how much it would cost to install the person I spoke with (the same guy who took measurements) got a little flaky and couldn’t provide any real number - not even an exact figure for the materials. I even had to throw out a random figure to even get the dialog going on installation.I wanted an estimate, but I never really got one, just a few samples of a the very basic tile pattern I already knew I was interested in getting and a range of what seemed like guesstimates on pricing. I feel bad for leaving this, they really were friendly, but I was left feeling really confused and put out after driving across town.Maybe my kitchen just wasn’t big enough to be bothered getting an actual estimate.

We didn't enjoy our experience with the design process at Unique Design. Clearly very knowledgeable and they appear to have an extensive selection, but the designer didn't give us many options even though I kept asking about other options. We chose to purchase through another vendor instead.
