Shout out to the team at the Walgreens pharmacy. The Pharmacist, Angie, doesn’t normally work at this location. She is super friendly, knows what she is doing and very professional. The rest of the team was fairly new and did a fantastic job. Well done in taking care of our needs!

This pharmacy has no sense of urgency. They have plenty of people "working" but are always doing everything but filling prescriptions or staffing the clinic area. Slow is an understatement.

37th & Wanamaker Walgreens pharmacy:
* Friendly, polite customer service w/a smile!
* Weren't 'put out'
* Quick turnaround!
* Transparent
* Good selection/stock.
Reduced 1 star bc:
- hours are not convenient (close earlier than most. 6/7pm
- closed Sundays
-prices seem to be higher on most meds (comparing many discount cards), but it's worth the efficiency & sanity in getting your medication IMO.
Only glitch was the price they charged was much higher bc they didn't show the Optum discount card price stated for that location, & we're unsure why. She did her due diligence though, & remained pleasant. Otherwise very satisfied!!!
Several good experiences, great customer service, & willingness to help (despite being in a sometimes thankless & under appreciated role working in a pharmacy).

(I have a much different review for the unacceptable interactions, horrible treatment, & poor service we received by a few different staff members at the 2121 Fairlawn Walgreens Pharmacy).
*** I absolutely recommend the Wanamaker branch & 10th & Topeka branch pharmacies; however, can't say the same for the 2121 Fairlawn pharmacy in Topeka.

This pharmacy sucks. They make their own damn hours. I just drove all the way across town on my lunch break and even though google says they are open, there is a paper sign saying hours are 4pm to 7pm. Cool. Thanks.

Walgreens at 37th and Wanamaker has been out of my child’s prescriptions on numerous occasions. What is the point of a pharmacy that doesn’t have the medicine you need?
When you have a sick child, and as a parent you’ve done everything you should, like taking your kid to doctors appointments and x-rays and everything in between, you shouldn’t run into issues when picking up your medicine. It basically defeats the purpose of doing EVERYTHING ELSE when the pharmacy fails you.
We are changing pharmacies. We deserve better. My child deserves better. Shame on Walgreens.

They completely lost my script and caused me delays in getting a refill. I’ve had consistent issues with Walgreens across the board, not just this location, and things seem to be getting worse. I’m transferring all my scripts elsewhere.

It appears the majority of the staff hate their job at this location. Pharmacy closes without notifying customers on numerous occasion leaving the customers without being able to refill or pickup meds which is completely unacceptable. If you try transferring to another Walgreens location they won't fill the prescription, I'm not sure if that's due to laziness or what the actual reason is because they have the scripts to verify in the computer system. I bring my dog with me nearly every time I go and you can clearly see an open box and bag of treats sitting in the window yet they NEVER offer my dog a treat. They have a lack of respect for customers and are very unfriendly. We have also been told numerous times a prescription was ready for pickup and we get there, it's not ready, they say give us 15 minutes, then another 15 etc. usually by 45 minutes it's finally ready.

Service in all departments is slower than slow. 90% of the staff does not value the customers time at all. Glad there other options close by.

First time in this store even though I had a vaccine appointment confirmed, they said they ran out. Additional the next 2 times I was there the ATM did not work and I was told "it has been that way for a while"Not inspiring confidence in Health Care

I understand you are short staffed in the pharmacy. But being on hold for 10min then someone picks up and puts you on hold again without saying anything, then you are on hold another 5min so you auto transfer to the store line which NOBODY answers? Absolutely ridiculous when I am RETURNING A CALL FROM YOU!

Love the staff here in the Pharmacy. Unfortunately with the pharmacist shortage in town we're not able to be there more often. The pharmacists there both work extremely hard to do their most for each person they see.

The pharmacy was closed Saturday, I believe for the weekend. The pharmacist wasn't there when I went by Monday. Calling today, Wednesday, a recording says the pharmacy is temporarily closed.A drugstore that can't dispense drugs is a soda fountain, in this case without soda or a fountain.This store is there why???
