Overall, the hotel is good and what you’d expect. We’ve stayed previously, but I marked it down for our 8/28/25 stay due to the very un-fresh smell of our room (#219). Several other reviews have mentioned this, so management should take it seriously and rectify it. I don’t have a strong sense of smell but even I could detect the odor. Don’t know exactly how to describe it, but it seemed like a combination of wet, dirty dog, old cigarette smoke and a damp unclean toilet. Maybe an unclean HVAC unit too? Just not pleasant. I see that you are pet-friendly, so perhaps you could limit pets to certain rooms or definitely sanitize and de-odorize afterward.
Other than the smell, everything else was good with room amenities, breakfast and staff.

Last Sunday I was on my way back home in Missouri when a huge hail storm passed over us on the highway and took out our windshield. Luckily, I was able to reserve a room at this location. The room was clean and the staff were so kind and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast both days of our stay and it was delightful.
Jennifer, who was working the night shift shortly after our check-in, assisted in helping me make contact with an auto glass company after hours. I was so grateful to her! She went above and beyond in her duties. We were able to get back on the road by Tuesday.

I have stayed here multiple times and every time has been wonderful. Pet friendly as I travel with a small dog and a medium sized dog. Fantastic fresh cookies and also a different breakfast everyday.

We are staying to attend the Nicodemus Homecoming Celebration this weekend. The hotel is very well kept. The staff is friendly and courteous.

The location is convenient being right off the highway. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. There were plenty of options provided for breakfast.

when we arrived to the hotel we went into the room and it smelt horrible and the smell did not go away our entire stay. we let our kids swim later and the staff told us to stop letting them jump in for being to loud the hot tub was also broken along with the pool heater

Literally writing this in the parking lot because what was that.
Convenient location which is why I chose to stay and the front desk ladies were very kind, which is the only reason this is getting two stars.
The rest of the two star review is:
A) The price was more than what showed online.
B) The room smelled and felt dirty. I stayed with my dog, so they gave me a pet-friendly room. To keep it short, you could tell it was a pet room and it smelled like a kennel from the time I entered. There was dog fur in many areas of the room and the carpet felt gross. I had to wear my shoes the whole time.
C) Even though I had the privacy signal on the door, I had a staff member barge into my room without even knocking. I was changing. As a female traveler, needless to say he scared me and my dog BADLY.

We stay here every year. It's halfway on our journey to the Men's Advance in Stillwater. Great rooms, great staff, good breakfast, everything clean.

Great location right off of the highway. The woman who checked us in was great, and the woman who did breakfast was so, so nice. The room was okay, the beds seemed small for queens & the shower had quite a bit of hair in it. But overall a nice stay for a decent price.
