Wamego City Park is a beautiful and peaceful little gem of a park. It is a nice park with a pretty big playground, a pretty little pond, and a fun little train for kids. The park features a children's train, a pond, a bridge, a historical village, a museum, a water park, statues, great plantings, and a windmill. There are a lot of beautiful things to look at and enjoy, creating a great atmosphere. It is definitely worth a visit, and visitors should plan to linger.
This is a nice park. Did you know there are statues from the Chicago World's Fair here? It's true. A bronze colored one on a pedestal represents Science. A white one in the pond represents Art. I find this piece of history and art interesting. No one does quaint city parks like Midwesterners.
