Not anywhere I'd spend a vacation with my family staying but it's definitely an alright choice if you just need a place to stay for the night. Affordable for what it has to offer, very quiet for its location, and just a bridge away from St.

I got here around 7 right as the snow and ice and rain and gusty winds kicked in and thought it was gonna be a nice throwback motel experience with a funny name in a rural town. I was wrong. Light fixtures are nonexistent. Heat don’t work. Place looked like it could be buggy (saw no real signs tbh just a vibe). The winds made it sound like the place was gonna fall over but to make it all worse several different groups of neighbors decided to blast all sorts of different genres of music around 10pm and argue and one up each other with noise and the walls are paper thin and the stereo was right next to where I was laying in bed and it didn’t let up until and several arguments erupted. Pretty sure the cops were already called as there was a half hour of silence before it all resumed again and a brawl seemingly broke out amongst the other motel customers from varying rooms yet again. I took a sleeping pill around 11:30 but by 12:30 it was clear this noise and racket wasn’t gonna let up so I grabbed my stuff (except my trash which I left exactly where it was since there’s probably no refunds and also I left the key in the room and it locked as I closed the door and went to pick it up) and drove up to the office and asked to be moved but was told none of the other rooms were “allowed to be rented out” so I drove off and am now at motel 6. Just wow.

The room was literally infested with roaches!! We paid for a week and went into the room set our stuff in there then left and went to work. When we came back our kids grabbed pop tarts out to eat an set them down. Not even a couple of minutes after my son set them down they had roaches crawling all over them. So we went and asked for a refund. The second we ask for a refund the dude was extremely rude. He tried to refuse but then he ended up refunding some of our money back. Still charged us $65 for 1 hour of being in the room. That place is a joke and disgusting. I would not recommend!

The Capri is that nice down to earth travel stop, weekend getaway,or small laid back vacation spot. The service is non assuming and family like, you always walk away with a smile knowing it will get done.... .another great thing about the Capri motel in Elwood Kansas is the cross cultural atmosphere and vibe you get because your not overloaded withtheweirdv

Had a few hiccups in the beginning, but the managers were polite and welcoming. Good spot to stop for a good price.

Nasty place to stay. They're cheap prices are the only reason I stay there but it's not for the person with a weak stomach. They claim to have high standards and that a little mud on the floor is unacceptable. I work in a mud pit so it's very difficult coming home and not getting the floor a little muddy. Their standard of living is much muddier than my mud covered clothes. Black mold covers the exhaust fan in the bathroom. Holes in the walls house roaches that aren't moving out anytime soon. At night you can sit back and relax as the screaming and yelling of others in nearby rooms keeps your heart warm and seeing drug deals in the parking lot let's you know you've finally made it to the top. A cheap motel for someone who's life isn't worth living.

What I like the most is they don't bother you at all. For as long as you are an occupant they respect your privacy. Now, the walls are quite thin so the rooms surrounding you can hear you if they don't have their air unit and/or tv on. That's kind of a pain but for me it's tolerable. The biggest con is that it's in Elwood, (I have nothing against Elwood) which if you know, you know. If you don't know, won't be long before you find out upon travel there.
